AbstractAbstract
[en] The study of the decoupling effects in the even-even 126Ba nucleus has been completed. The study of spins and parities of the even-odd 129Ba nucleus was carried out in Grenoble, France. The measurement of linear polarization of gamma rays in these nuclei revealed anomalous negative parity bands. The negative parity levels in even-even light barium isotopes can be interpreted as coriolis decoupled two-quasiproton configurations in which the h/sub 11/2/ proton plays a prominent role. On the other hand, the negative parity levels in the even-odd light barium isotopes are strikingly different, and can be interpreted as due to the rotation-alignment coupling of h/sub 11/2/ neutron holes to the triaxial core. 1 table, 2 figures

AbstractAbstract
[en] The lifetimes of the yrast states Jsup(π) <= 14+ of 126Ba, populated by the 114Cd (16O,4nγ)126Ba reaction at 80 MeV bombarding energy were measured by means of the recoil-distance method. This nucleus exhibits a strong backbending pattern, starting at Jsup(π) = 12+. Although a reduction of 3 was measured for the E2 transition strengths of the 8+ → 6+ transitions, no reduction was found for the 12+ → 10+. This seems to indicate that in 126Ba E2-reductions and backbending are not correlated. (orig.)

(orig.)Original Title

AbstractAbstract
[en] The E2 transition strengths of yrast states in 126Ba are measured. A reduction of a factor of three is observed for the 10+ → 8+ and 8+ → 6+ transitions. This seems to indicate that the E2 reductions and the backbending pattern in this nucleus are uncorrelated. (Auth.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] One of the radionuclides used for radioimmunotherapy is 114mIn that can be produced by both routes. The 113In(n, γ)114mIn reaction results in a non carrier free product. Alternatively in proton and deuteron induced reactions high specific activity, and carrier free 114mIn products can be produced. A thorough search of the literature showed that the production of 114mIn charged particles was not investigated yet in detail. Only a few data were found for proton induced reaction but no experimental data were found for deuteron induced reactions. In the work plan of the co-ordinated research project started by the International Atomic Energy Agency on the most widely used therapeutic radioisotopes, the 114Cd(p,n)114mIn and the 114Cd(d,2n)114mIn reactions are included. This work describes new experimental results in comparison with critically analysed earlier results. Based on our data optimum production energies are presented. The target preparation, the chemical separation of the In radionuclides from the Cd target and the recovery of the enriched Cd target was already solved earlier in connection with the large-scale routine production via the 112Cd(p,2n) and the 111Cd(p,n) reactions of the widely used 111In medical radioisotope. AbstractAbstract
[en] We investigate neutrino-flux-induced ββ transitions in targets built of 112,114,116Cd and 18O isotopes. In addition to the known β-β- channel, we consider new β-β+ and β-β+γ modes of the neutrino-induced ββ process. A possibility of detection of the solar neutrinos via the induced ββ transitions of interest is discussed. We note that the β- part of the solar-neutrino-induced β-β+ process in 18O was already discussed in connection with possible influence of high-energy electron production of this origin on the Super-Kamiokande results
