AbstractAbstract
[en] Several theoretical and experimental groups are involved to gain a thorough understanding of nuclear dynamics. This leads to consolidated findings, which provide an insight to describe various aspects of nuclear dynamics with advanced perspectives. One such comprehensive analysis is done in the present work from theoretical viewpoint concerning various ground state (g.s.) and excited state decay mechanisms. For a better perception of the binary fragmentation, the identification of the decay products emitted in various g.s. and excited state decay processes play significant part and the same is investigated in the present study. Firstly, the effect of shell correction and pairing energy on the fusion-evaporation cross sections and reaction dynamics of various hot and rotating compound systems such as 118Xe, 128Ce, 146Sm, 172Yb, and 196Pt are studied within the DCM corresponding to the available experimental data

AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper reports on recent experimental studies of quadrupole moments and reduced transition probabilities in atomic nuclei. First, based on the deduced B(E2) transition strength from a measurement of lifetimes, "1"2"8Ce is suggested as a benchmark for the X(5) critical point symmetry in the mass A ≈ 130 region. Next, a quadrupole moment measurement of the 29/2 "− bandhead of a magnetic rotational band in "1"9"3Pb and a measurement of lifetimes in the band are presented and compared to calculations within the framework of the tilted-axis cranking model. Last, the measured quadrupole moment of the five-quasiparticle 35/2"+ high-K isomer in "1"7"9W is discussed. In all cases the experimental observations provide important information for the understanding of the evolution of the shape for different excitations and, due to the improved sensitivity of the experiments, pose new questions related to different shape-driving effects.

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper are described data to assist in evaluating the structure of 128Ce at low excitation energy with 128Pr samples produced trough heavy-ion reactions and extracted with the He-jet technique. Pr isotopes have been produced by 40Ca at 5.7 MeV/nucleon on 94-96Mo targets. The reaction products have been extracted from the reaction chamber and transported by the He-jet system using PbCl aerosols. Three different HP Ge detectors (45%, 60% and a planar) have been used for γ-γ, X-γ-t coincidence and singlet spectra (simultaneously recorded) measurements. Electron spectra have been measured by Si(Li) detector, placed in the focal plane of a magnetic spectrometer. Prompt and delayed γ-γ coincidence matrices have been sorted and analysed off-line.Singles and X-γ-t coincidence spectra have been used for extracting of the exact Ce isotopes' energies and intensities. 128Ce level scheme has been constructed and a half-time (2.7±0.1)s has been firmly established. The collective ground state band is observed up to 6+ level. The 869.7 keV level is determined as 2γ+ band head for the quasi-γ band and several members of this band have been identified. A negative parity is tentatively assigned to levels 1690 keV (5-) and 1981 keV (4-). The existence of two isomers of 128Pr is proved. Calculations have been done for 128Ce within the IBM-model for energies and B(E2) branching with parameters for ε-0.69, κ--0.18, χπ=-0.1, χν=0.40
