[en] Energy spectra of delayed neutrons from the precursors /sup 93,94,95/Rb and /sup 143/Cs have been measured by use of an on-line mass spectrometer and a /sup 3/He neutron spectrometer. Details of the experimental techniques, data analysis, and error estimates are given. A comparison of delayed-neutron spectra for /sup 87/Br, /sup 93,94,95/Rb, and /sup 143/Cs measured by three different laboratories is presented. Peak structures are reproduced by all laboratories, but the relative intensities below 200 keV vary according to different mesurement or data analysis techniques. 20 refs

[en] An investigation of the β- decay of /sup 143/Cs and /sup 147/La was undertaken at the on-line mass separator TRISTAN. E/sub γ/, I/sub γ/ γ--γ coincidences, and γ--γ angular correlations were measured. Level schemes for /sup 143/Ba and /sup 147/Ce were constructed with proposed spin and parity assignments based upon measured transition multipolarities and γ--γ angular correlation coefficients

[en] The spectral indices 28ρ and 25δ are measured by means of the scanning fuel rod technique through 239Np (277.6 keV) and 143Ce (293.3 keV) photopeak integral counts. This approach allows to collect data in the perturbed and unperturbed cases for the same irradiation. This fact allows the elimination of the majority of the correction factors arising from calculational methods. The theoretical analysis of the experiment is performed with the MCNP-4C code. (author)

[en] Mass separated, neutron rich 143Cs (tsub(1/2) = 1.8 s) and 143Ba (tsub(1/2) = 14.5 s) isotopes were studied. Singles gamma and conversion electron spectra following the β- decay of these nuclei were investigated using Ge(Li) and Si(Li) detectors, respectively. Gamma ray and internal conversion electron relative intensities are listed, and spin and parity assignments, based on transition multipolarities, are proposed. Results are compared with earlier measurements. Some evidence for an isomeric state in 143Ba is presented. (author)
