AbstractAbstract
[en] Physical bases of retrospective dosimetry with solid detectors are reported. Possible sources of errors are analyzed. Peculiarities of EPR-signal of tooth enamel, bones, quartz, other typical samples and results of first tests on EPR dosimetry of Semipalatinsk test site soils are cited. Goal of the paper is promotion to introduce of new dosimetry method in regions with adverse radioecological situation

AbstractAbstract
[en] We report the electron-spin resonance in situ of a voltage-biased Josephson SNS tunnel junction. The a.c. Josephson effect creates a r.f.-field in the normal-metal barrier. The H- and the E-component of the electromagnetic field can be used to create electric or magnetic multipole transitions in the barrier, respectively. The additional energy dissipation in the case of resonance should be detectable in the I-V curve. (orig./BUD)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The first observation of the paramagnetic resonance of electrons at dislocations in germanium single crystals is reported. Under subband gap optical excitation, two sets of lines are detected: four lines about the <111> axes with gperpendicular to = 0.34 and gparallel = 1.94, and 24 lines with gperpendicular to = 0.73 and gparallel = 1.89 about <111> axes with the six-fold 1.20 distortion. This represents the first measurement of the disortion angle of a dislocation dangling bond. The possibility that the distortion results from a Peierls transition along the dislocation line is discussed

AbstractAbstract
[en] Electron spin resonance (ESR) dating can be applied to a wide range of materials and has probably the largest potential amongst the dating techniques for the Quaternary. The dating procedure is very complex and many problems have to be addressed before this method can be regarded as a routine dating technique. This contribution gives a short introduction to ESR dating and tries to outline the specific advantages of this dating method, but also give a very personal opinion about the problems that need attention. It focuses on the actual ESR part of the dating procedure: signal definition and accumulated dose estimation. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Published literature concerning electron spin resonance (ESR) from July 1977 to July 1979 is reviewed. The 108 literature sources cited were chosen from literally thousands and are intended to serve as a guide to the current literature and to provide an eclectic selection of publications cited for their contributions to the advance and/or applications of ESR spectroscopy. 40 of the sources are reviews, and a table is included to indicate the topic(s) mainly covered in each review. Other divisions of the material reviewed are apparatus and spectral analysis, analytical applications, and selected paramagnetic materials
