AbstractAbstract
[en] A method is devised in which a minimum of three monitors must be used to eliminate the dependence on equipment-alignment and beam focusing conditions in normalizing cross sections. A 4-monitor system is designed which in addition allows us to account for the possible error sources. As an example of the technique, an analysis of a series of experimental data is made. A typical precesion of 1% in the corresponding normalization factors was obtained. The supriority over methods using 1 or 2 monitors is demonstrated theoretically and illustrated experimentally. AbstractAbstract
[en] The knowledge of nucleon-nucleon (NN) interaction potential in heavy ion collision (HIC) is essential in order to understand the role of different components of potential in the reaction dynamics. In the present work, we try to understand the importance of different components of potential in isobaric pair collisions having different proton and neutron content

AbstractAbstract
[en] Low-background off-line gamma-ray spectroscopic measurements of the thin Au and thick Ta targets have been performed to determine or estimate yields of long-lived isotopes created in the following reactions: 74Ge + 197Au and 93Nb + 181Ta. The main goal of these experiments was to investigate and compare mechanisms dominating the reactions in the two similar compound systems for a thin and thick target at approximately the same incident energy of 18 meV/u. The cumulative cross-section distribution for the formation of proton-rich, neutron-rich chains and independent isotopes in 495 μg/cm2 thick Au target after bombardment with 74Ge ions, has been determined for about 90 (T1/2>1.5 d) nuclei. The similar cumulative cross-section distribution of about 50 (T1/2>20 d) reaction products in 0.5 mm thick natural Ta target after bombardment with 93Nb, has been determined and compared with the former one. AbstractAbstract
[en] The role of the entrance channel in the fusion-fission reactions leading to nearly the same superheavy compound nucleus is studied in the framework of dynamic model. The calculations are done for 48Ca+244Pu and 74,76Ge+208Pb reactions which could lead to formation of superheavy element Z=114. It is shown that for these reactions there is an energy window for the values of the bombarding energy at which a capture probability is sufficiently large. Together with the restriction coming from the intrinsic barrier for fusion, it helps to find an optimal value of the bombarding energy for a given projectile - target combination

AbstractAbstract
[en] The excitation-energy distribution of projectilelike fragments formed in the E/A=8.5 MeV 74Ge+165Ho reaction has been obtained by applying a statistical evaporation calculation to the difference between primary fragment mass yields derived from kinematic coincidence measurements and directly measured yields. A gradual transition from approximate equipartition of excitation energy for small energy losses to a division that favors the targetlike fragment for highly damped events is observed, in agreement with previous measurements. For a given energy loss, heat partition is found to correlate with the direction of net nucleon transfer. The variances of the excitation-energy distributions are shown to increase monotonically as a function of energy loss. The average data are compared with predictions of the nucleon exchange transport model. The results suggest that energy-loss mechanisms in addition to nucleon exchange may be important in the early stages of the collision

AbstractAbstract
[en] In fusion-fission process a unified macro-potential [UMP] is calculated. The shape of Royer's description in the incident channel and the Cassinian ovaloid in the out-going channel are used to calculate UMP with Yukawa-plus-exponential form of interaction. UMP against separated distance between two centers-of-mass with zero angular momentum for fusion-fission process is shown for 74Ge + 75As → 149Tb and 97Zr + 97Zr → 194Hg
