The author presents an outline which deals with elastic and inelastic collisions, with strong interactions, electromagnetic interactions, weak interactions and gravitational interactions. [en] An explicit discussion is given concerning the dependence of energy generation in the sun and of inner solar structure and evolution on the four fundamental forces in nature. The critical dependence of solar properties on the strength of the proton-proton singlet strong nuclear interaction force is pointed out. (author)

[en] The problem of slow-neutron interaction with moving matter is considered. The concept of an effective potential is used to take into account medium effects. It is shown that such interactions change the neutron energy (this is in accord with the results of previous investigations). For a given potential, this phenomenon is purely classical for rather wide variations of the parameters characterizing the motion in question. The energy spectra of interacted neutrons are found for some particular cases of the accelerated motion of a slab of matter. Essentially quantum phenomena occur in the reflection of neutrons from an accelerated mirror if the latter is separated from the incident beam. The shape of the spectrum of neutron velocities exceeding classically accessible values is found for this case. Experiments to observe changes in the energy of neutrons interacting with moving samples are proposed

[en] This paper is an update of a previous edition of 1973 and contains coupling constants and various other low-energy parameters for elementary particle reactions collected from recent publications.
