AbstractAbstract
[en] The present analysis is based on the theoretical study of the reactions "8"0Kr+"8"0Kr (τ = 0), "7"2Zn+"8"8 Zr (τ = 0.1),"5"4Fe+"1"0"6 Cd (τ = 0.3), "4"0Ca +"1"2"0 Te (τ = 0.5), "2"4Al +"1"3"6 La (τ = 0.7), where τ (= A_τ -A_P/A_τ +A_P) is the mass-asymmetry factor. Simulations for the above said reactions have been carried out at the incident energy of 50 MeV/nucleon

AbstractAbstract
[en] Interaction cross-sections of 72,76,80Kr on a C target were measured at the projectile fragment separator FRS at GSI. We deduced the effective matter radii of the nuclei by a Glauber model analysis. An increase of matter radii toward the proton drip-line was observed

AbstractAbstract
[en] Production cross sections for the projectile fragmentation of a 1.05A GeV 80Kr beam on a Be target were measured at the projectile fragment separator FRS at GSI. Cross sections were obtained for isotopes of the elements Ge to Kr close to the proton drip line. These data are compared to the results of the empirical parametrization EPAX and to abrasion-ablation calculations. We also compare the results to predictions of intranuclear-cascade calculations. The intranuclear-cascade calculations allow us to also compare well measured one-proton pickup cross sections

AbstractAbstract
[en] Rotation - Aligned Model calculations were performed assuming 80Kr nucleus as a symmetric rotor plus two quasi particles. The results explain, satisfactorily, the experimentally observed even parity band built on the 8+ state at 3701.6 keV and the odd parity band built on the 5- state at 2861.0 keV. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The abundance of krypton in the atmosphere has been quoted for nearly half a century as 1.14 ± 0.01 ppm, which corresponds to a total atmospheric inventory of 4.51 × 1012 m3 STP (Verniani (1966) [243]). A recent re-evaluation yielded a value of 1.099 ± 0.009 ppmv, which is about 4% lower than the previously used value (Aoki and M akide (2005) [244]). Krypton has six stable isotopes of which 84Kr is the most abundant, comprising about 57% of natural Kr (Table 5.1). Eleven major radioactive isotopes of Krexist but only 81Kr and 85Kr, with halflives of 229 000 and 10.76 a, respectively, exceed 2 d and are, therefore, suitable for the investigation of environmental processes. Krypton-81 is produced in the atmosphere by cosmic ray induced spallation of heavier stable Krisotopes and by the nuclear reactions 80Kr(n, γ)81Kr and82Kr(γ, n)81Kr.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Study of A ∼ 80 nuclei is interesting because of various shape evolutions and shape coexistences. High spin structure in these nuclei is dominated by the g9/2 orbitals and level density is smaller compared to the rare-earth nuclei. This leads to significant variations in nuclear configurations and quasiparticle alignment when going from one nucleus to another. Thus, unlike the rare earths which have stable deformations, nuclei in mass ∼ 80 region show pronounced structure changes. Again in these medium mass proton rich nuclei, neutrons and protons occupy the same single particle orbits. So, the pair alignments of neutrons and protons compete with each other as the nucleus rotates and under certain conditions they may align simultaneously
