AbstractAbstract
[en] Toxicology is a branch of the very important especially in determining the safety and effectiveness of herbal products to avoid any side effects to the user. Currently, toxicity tests conducted in the laboratory is testing the toxicity of shrimp, tests on cell cultures and experimental animal tests on the rats. One of the most recent exam easier and can reduce the use of experimental rats was testing on zebra fish fish. Fish zebra fish Danio rerio, suitable for the study of toxicity, teratogenicity, genetic, oncology and neurobiology. Zebra fish system of aquarium fish zebra fish system has been in Nuclear Malaysia since 2013 but has not yet fully operational due to several factors and is in the process of moving into a new laboratory which systematically and in accordance with the enabling environment for care. The development of a new fully equipped laboratory is expected to benefit all for use in research. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The use of Containment and Surveillance (C/S) techniques for the implementation of nuclear safeguards has increased substantially in recent years. Sealing and identification systems are used on a large scale and video surveillance is replacing gradually film camera systems. Furthermore many C/S systems are operated in an unattended mode. In order to evaluate the performances and assurance which can be obtained from C/S systems, JRC has installed a laboratory, called LaSCo, for testing C/S components and systems, simulating, where possible, field conditions. This laboratory includes facilities for training inspectors, for instance for reviewing aid of video pictures, use of integrated multisensor systems, evaluation of ultrasonic sealing methods. Several years ago, JRC installed a performance laboratory for NDA, called PERLA, which is now extensively used. LaSCo is expected to play the same role as PERLA but in the field of Containment and Surveillance and by extension to non nuclear measurements (e.g. Weighing, volume determinations). The newly built facilities and the first experimental lay-out of LaSCo are described. It is expected that industry and inspectors will make extensive use of LaSCo

AbstractAbstract
[en] Base on the planning to increase of the research and service quality in the ''Neutron activation analysis'' (APN),the design of mentioned ''Neutron activation analysis laboratories room'' has been done in the multi purpose reactor G.A. Siwabessy. By the using the designed installation, the irradiation preparation and counting sample can be done. The design doing by determination of installation lay out and maximum particle contain in the air. The design installation required a unit of 1 HP blower, a unit of 1 HP split air condition and 2 units 1200 x 800 mm HEPA filter. This paper concluded that this design is feasible to fabricated

AbstractAbstract
[en] The Medical Physics Calibration Laboratory has been accredited in accordance with MS ISO/IEC 17025 since 2013, with the scope to provide calibration service of diagnostic dosemeter, except mammography. In order to ensure continual improvement of our service, the customer satisfaction survey is carried out every year, except in 2015 where the laboratory was not operated within the ISO scope. This paper reports the results of the customer satisfaction survey from 2013 to 2020 based on approximately 33 % of customer feedbacks that we received each year. The result shows that the average customer satisfaction index from 2013 to 2020 is 81 %. From 2016 to 2020, the results are maintained more than 80 %, in which the clean working environment and counter services are always received positive feedback from the customers. Out of 5, the customers gave an average satisfaction index of 4 for the 12 criteria that are assessed in this survey. From the gap analysis, three criteria are identified to be prioritized for improvement which are handling payment efficiency, accessibility to personnel and follow-up calls. In conclusion, the laboratory is committed to taking the best corrective action incommensurate with the customer feedback to keep up our excellent service. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The CENBG (Nuclear research center of Bordeaux-Gradignan) staff was honored to host the 32. days of the Associated Radio-physics and Dosimetry Laboratories. Welcoming the participants, CENBG's head presented its research laboratory. CENBG is a joint research unit of the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) and the University of Bordeaux. It gathers together a multidisciplinary community of physicists, chemists and biologists who study the structure of matter, from the smallest scales to cosmic particle accelerators. The laboratory conducts research in nuclear and particle physics with their connections to lasers, nuclear energy, health, and the environment. Technical support groups develop state-of-the-art facilities and advanced technologies, creating innovative research instruments and confronting tomorrow's challenges. CENBG equipment includes three state-of-the-art technical facilities: AIFIRA, PRISNA and PIAGARA. The AIFIRA irradiation platform is dedicated to materials analysis and characterization, 2D/3D imaging, controlled irradiation for biological experimentation, environmental studies, materials analysis and cultural heritage. The very low noise spectrometers of the PRISNA facility measure gamma isotopes at rates 10,000 times lower than natural radioactivity. The PIAGARA facility offers ultra-high sensitivity (a few thousand atoms) mass spectrometry for rare gas analysis

AbstractAbstract
[en] A new low-background laboratory has been constructed in the Pyhäsalmi mine in central Finland and was commissioned in the beginning of 2017. The underground experimental hall is located at a depth of 1436 m corresponding to about 4100 m of water equivalent (m.w.e.). We describe the equipment of the laboratory and the backgrounds arising from the natural rock radioactivity and the flux of cosmic ray muons at the experimental hall location. The high-sensitivity experiments operating at the low-background laboratory are briefly described.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The IAEA Safeguards Analytical Laboratory (SAL) at Seibersdorf, Austria, has been designed to perform rapid, accurate analyses of nuclear material. It has been staffed and equipped to cope with a maximum sample load of about 2000 samples a year. The Agency has thus with this laboratory a solid tool to obtain the necessary basic measurements to fulfil the analytical requirements of its international safeguards responsibilities
