[en] The studies of high-spin open-quotes stretchedclose quotes states in light nuclei are reviewed. The results of the multiparticle shell model including particle-core coupling are compared with the experimental data for M4 transitions in p-shell nuclei. The decay properties, spectroscopic amplitudes, and energy distribution of the states arising as a result of M4 transitions are discussed. 72 refs., 21 figs., 12 tabs

[en] In the absence of precise experimental data on internal conversion coefficients it would be meaningless to attempt a comparison of the experimental internal conversion coefficients with the theoretical predictions and even to look for any reasons for the deviations observed. This situations prompted to take up the precise measurements of internal conversion coefficients of several high multipole electromagnetic transitions using normalized peak to gamma method

[en] The distribution of the form factors of M4 transitions of p-shell nuclei in the excitation energies is obtained in the particle plus state of the final nucleus approach of the shell model. The structure of the wave function of maximum-spin states is analyzed with the aid of results of (e,e') and (π,π') experiments. The problem of suppression of M4 excitation strengths in p-shell nuclei is discussed
