AbstractAbstract
[en] In the present work, we shall investigate whether a half century old predictions on the existence of Kπ= 4+, γγ band has become a reality. The violation of axial symmetry of even nuclei generates two energy states for I = 2 (2+1, 2+2) one for I = 3 (3+1) three for I = 4 (4+1, 4+2, 4+3), two for I = 5 (5+1, 5+2), four for I = 6 (6+1, 6+2, 6+3, 6+4) etc corresponding to the rotation of the nucleus. Yrast band is normal while the other to bands i.e. γ band and γγ band are anomalous bands. We shall evaluate the values of energy of the levels of observed spectrum within the framework of Asymmetric Rotor Model (ARM) and compare them with experiment just to explore whether the nucleus under consideration are rigid or not. Since the energy predicted in ARM is large, the relative displacement of the odd spin levels with respect to even spin levels (odd – even staggering OES)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Recently, a major break through in the understanding of phase transitions has been made by the discovery of new critical point symmetries of the phase transitions called X(5) and E(5). When the ratio of the energy of the states in the yrast band to the energy of the first 2+ state (EJ1+ / E21+) is compared to predictions of vibrational and rotational limits and dynamic symmetry X (5), it is found that 104-106Mo lie between X (5) and Rotor limits

AbstractAbstract
[en] Radioactive 104Nb was produced as a fission product and separated by use of the gasfilled magnetic separator JOSEF. Isomeric 104Nb half lives of 0.99 and 4.8 s were determined. It was established that the shorter half life is due to the decay of a high-spin isomer. Singles and γ-γ coincidence spectra were used to identify 45 γ-rays of 104Mo. The previous assignment of the principal γ-rays to 104Mo was confirmed. An energy level scheme of 104Mo with levels up to 2.888 keV of excitation has been constructed. Calculations in the frame of the interacting boson approximation (IBA) have been performed. The data are consistent with a description of 104Mo as a nucleus at the limit between the transitional and the deformed region. (orig.)
