AbstractAbstract
[en] Four sites were selected for collection of plants growing on polluted soil developed on tailings from Ag, Au, and Zn mines at the Zacatecas state in Mexico. Trace element concentrations varied between sites, the most polluted area was at El Bote mine near to Zacatecas city. The ranges of total concentration in soil were as follows: Cd 11-47, Ni 19-26, Pb 232-695, Mn 1132-2400, Cu 134-186 and Zn 116-827 mg kg-1 air-dried soil weight. All soil samples had concentrations above typical values for non-polluted soils from the same soil types (Cd 0.6 ± 0.3, Ni 52 ± 4, Pb 41 ± 3 mg kg-1). However, for the majority of samples the DTPA-extractable element concentrations were less than 10% of the total. Some of the wild plants are potentially metal tolerant, because they were able to grow in highly polluted substrates. Plant metal analysis revealed that most species did not translocate metals to their aerial parts, therefore they behave as excluder plants. Polygonum aviculare accumulated Zn (9236 mg kg-1) at concentrations near to the criteria for hyperaccumulator plants. Jatropha dioica also accumulated high Zn (6249 mg kg-1) concentrations. - Polygonum aviculare and Jatropha dioica accumulated Zn at concentrations near to the criteria for hyperaccumulator plants

AbstractAbstract
[en] The nuclear structure data belonging to all nuclei with mass number A=52 have been compiled and evaluated using experimental nuclear reaction data and decay data available before July 10, 2015. This evaluaton supersedes the previous publication for this msss chain (2007Hu08, Nuclear Data Sheets 108, 773 (2007)). The data for the ε decay of "5"2Co (104 ms) and the ε decay of "5"2Ni (40.8 ms) are both incomplete, so new studies would be useful

AbstractAbstract
[en] In experiments at GANIL and at GSI, we studied the properties of nuclei in the vicinity of candidates for the two-proton radioactivity. For this purpose, we investigated the decay of 48 Fe and of 52 Ni in order to test the predictive power of the isobaric-multiplet mass equations and find very good agreement between predictions and experimental results. In a recent experiment a the FRS of GSI, we identified for the first time the new isotopes 42 Cr, 45 Fe, and 49 Ni, 45 Fe being probably the best candidate for a 2 p radioactivity. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The single-particle proton spectra of the neutron-deficient isotopes "5"0","5"2Ni, "5"6","5"8","6"0","6"2Zn, and "6"0","6"2","6"4Ge were calculated on the basis of the dispersive optical model whose parameters were extrapolated from the region of stable isotopes. The resulting parameter values lead to agreement between the total number of protons in bound states and the charge number Z of the respective nucleus. The results of the calculations are indicative of a weakly magic character of the "5"8Zn nucleus, which has a traditional magic number of N = 28 and a nearly magic number of Z = 30, and the "6"4Ge nucleus, for which N = Z = 32

AbstractAbstract
[en] The study of nuclei at the proton drip-line is a recent and efficient tool to prove the nuclear structure far from stability. In particular, the two-proton radioactivity phenomenon predicted in 1960 has been discovered in 2002. This work concerns an experiment performed at GANIL, in order to study the two-proton radioactivity of 54Zn with a time projection chamber, developed for the individual detection of each proton and the reconstruction of their tracks in three dimensions. The data analysis allowed to determine the correlations in energy and angle between the two protons. They have been compared to a theoretical model, which takes into account the dynamics of the emission, giving information about the structure of the emitter. However, due to the very low statistics, the interpretation of the results is limited but these results open very interesting prospects for further studies of nuclei at the limits of the existence. AbstractAbstract
[en] The rp-process nucleosynthesis proceeds through nuclei near the proton drip-line, in which Gamow-Teller (GT) transitions starting from unstable pf-shell nuclei play important roles. In the β-decay study of these nuclei, half-lives can be measured rather accurately. On the other hand, in the high-resolution (3He, t) charge-exchange reactions on mirror nuclei, individual GT transitions can be studied up to high excitations. For the accurate study of the GT transition strengths in the A = 52, T = 2, system, we compare and combine the β-decay study of the proton-rich nucleus 52Ni and the 52Cr(3He, t) measurement assuming the isospin symmetry of the Tz = ±2→±1 transitions.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The proton-rich nuclei in the region 22 ≤ Z ≤ 28 and TZ ≤ -3/2 have been studied in detail between 1999 and 2002 in 3 experiments performed at GANIL: 23 isotopes were studied from Ti39 to Ni53. For the first time, we have measured the half-live of V43, Ni51 and Co51 - we got respectively T1/2 = (81.3 ± 5.1) ms, (24.1 ± 0.8) ms and (69.4 ± 2.7) ms - and improved the accuracy for many other nuclei. New excited levels and γ transitions were identified via β-p-γ or β-γ correlations in different nuclei in this mass region and allowed us to establish partial decay schemes for different isotopes. The experimental results have been compared with different model predictions for β-decay half-lives and the branching ratios to the isobaric states yielding thus a wealth of new nuclear structure information far from stability
