AbstractAbstract
[en] Using the CLEO II detector at CESR a systematic study of the semileptonic decays of charmed baryons is underway. Previously CLEO has published results on the decays Λ+c → Λ ell +νell, Ξ0c → Ξ-e+νe and Ξ+c → Ξ0e+νe. A search for the decay Ωc → Ω ell +νell will be reported

AbstractAbstract
[en] The first measurement of the Ω0c lifetime is briefly presented. The data were collected in the photoproduction experiment E687 at Fermilab. The measured lifetime is τ=86+27-20(stat.)±28(syst.) fs, one the shortest lifetimes among the singly charmed weakly decaying baryons. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Among the ground state charmed hadrons the Ωc0 is the least known particle. It has so far been observed in a few decay channels only and with low statistics. Using a data sample of 1993 from the CERN hyperon beam experiment WA89 the Ωc0 has been found in 7 decay modes which cover final states with Ω-, Ξ- and Λ. A measurement of the Ωc0 mass and its lifetime is presented. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The CLEO collaboration has searched for Ω0c production in e+e- annihilations around 10 GeV. The experiment is sensitive to final states containing Ω-, Λ and Ξ together with kaons and pions. This work is based on ∼ 3 fb-1 of data collected with the CLEO II detector operating at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring

AbstractAbstract
[en] Using the CLEO detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring we have observed the Ωc0 (css ground state) in the decay Ωc0→Ω-e+νe. We find a signal of 11.4±3.8(stat) events. The probability that we have observed a background fluctuation is 7.6x10-5. We measure B(Ωc0→Ω-e+νe)·σ(e+e-→Ωc0X)=(42.2±14.1(stat)±5.7(syst)) fb and R=(Γ(Ωc0→Ω-π+)/Γ(Ωc0→Ω-eνe))=00.41±0.19(stat)±0.04(syst). This is the first statistically significant observation of an individual decay mode of the Ωc0 in e+e- annihilation and the first example of a baryon decaying via β emission, where no quarks from the first generation participate in the reaction

AbstractAbstract
[en] Results on hyperon production in hadronic Z0 decays and on the Ωc lifetime and decay branching ratios are presented. The results on decuplet baryon production in hadronic Z0 decays cannot be explained in the framework of the Lund model (JETSET and HERWIG programs). New results in the charm baryon sector are the measurement of the Ωc lifetime, τ(Ωc)=55±24 fs, and first estimates of Ωc decay branching ratios into final states containing an Ω, Ξ- or Λ. The lifetime of the Ωc turns out to be somewhat shorter than expected in existing calculations. The branching ratios of the observed multi-body final states cannot be described in the Lund model (PYTHIA program). (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] We report results from a study of the charmed double strange baryons Ωc0 and Ωc*0 at Belle. The Ωc0 is reconstructed using the Ωc0→Ω-π+ decay mode, and its mass is measured to be (2693.6±0.3-1.5+1.8) MeV/c2. The Ωc*0 baryon is reconstructed in the Ωc0γ mode. The mass difference MΩc*0-MΩc0 is measured to be (70.7±0.9-0.9+0.1) MeV/c2. The analysis is performed using 673 fb-1 of data on and near the Y(4S) collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider

AbstractAbstract
[en] The production of baryons in B meson decays and in the q antiq continuum has been studied with the ARGUS detector at the e+e- storage ring DORIS. In particular, recent results on inclusive and exclusive baryon production in B decays as well as a confirmation of the Ωc mass is given. Furthermore, a search for an excited Λc+ state is reported. 4 figs., 10 refs
