AbstractAbstract
[en] This list of currently existing National Nuclear Data Committees, and their memberships, is published with the object of promoting the interaction and enhance the awareness of nuclear data activities in IAEA Member States. The following Member States have indicated the existence of a nuclear data committee in their countries: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Bulgaria, France, Hungary, India, Japan, Romania, Sweden, USSR, United Kingdom, USA, Yugoslavia. The compilation of this document has been computerized, with the result that its content is now presented in two separate sections: one describing the organization and objectives of each of the nuclear data committees, and the other giving the membership of the committees including names, addresses and areas of specialization of the committee members

AbstractAbstract
[en] NRC participates in bilateral and multilateral efforts to strengthen the regulatory authorities of countries in which Soviet design NPPs are operated. Countries involved are the New Independent States of the Soviet Union (Armenia, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine) and of Central and Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania and Slovak Republic). NRC's goal is to see that its counterparts receive the basic tools, knowledge and understanding needed to exercise effective regulatory oversight, consistent with internationally accepted norms and standards. The bilateral assistance started in 1991. $44 mill. are provided to the countries. The multilateral activities NRC participates in include: H-7 Nuclear Safety Working Group, EBRD - Administered Nuclear Safety Account and Chernobyl Sarcophagus Fund and IAEA

[en] Urenco's gas centrifuge process for uranium enrichment with its low electricity consumption and its adaptability to market demand is enabling Urenco to play its full part in meeting energy needs now and in the future. Urenco is now delivering enriched uranium hexafluoride to Nuclear Power Plant Operators in a number of countries. The Group has a substantial order book and is embarked upon a programme of expansion of centrifuge enrichment capacity which over the next decade will involve the investment in Europe of more than Pound2 billion. The brochure describes the services offered by Urenco and the organization of the Urenco-Centec Group. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Comparative analysis of the methodologies was performed based on the discussions in the international workshop on 'Assessment Methodology of Proliferation Resistance for Future Nuclear Energy Systems' held in Tokyo, on March 2005. Through the workshop and succeeding considerations, it is clarified that the proliferation resistance assessment methodologies are affected by the broader nuclear options being pursued and also by the political situations of the state. Even the definition of proliferation resistance, despite the commonality of fundamental issues, derives from perceived threat and implementation circumstances inherent to the larger programs. Deep recognitions of the 'difference' among communities would help us to make further essential and progressed discussion with harmonization. (author)

[en] A survey is presented for various laboratories where nuclear data measurement facilities are applied to measure specific data. The laboratories are located in France (2 laboratories), in Germany (4 laboratories), in Japan (10 laboratories), in Russia (Institute of Physics and Power Engineering), in Sweden (Department of Neutron Research, Uppsala University), and in the USA (5 laboratories). Two international organizations are also included: Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics, and Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements. (R.P.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] This report is a bibliography on references related to the concept of defence-in-depth (DiD), particularly in the field of nuclear reactor safety. In addition, selected publications on the application of DiD outside of the field of nuclear reactor safety are referenced. For each reference, the main data of the publication, an assignment of key words, a short summary of the relation to DiD and, if applicable, a link to an internet resource for the document is provided. The bibliography report aims at covering all the major sources of regulatory documents and texts related to DiD in nuclear reactor safety for major international organisation on nuclear reactor safety and regulators in the Europe, North America, and selected Asian countries. In order to manage the scope of the work, more recent publications have received precedence by the authors, outdated versions or superseded documents might not be included in this report. Since there are a lot of publications on the concept on DiD in a number of contexts, producing a comprehensive listing beyond the context of regulatory publications was not possible for this publication. There are, therefore, a lot of textbooks, publications in scientific journals, conference contributions, etc. related to the concept of DiD, which are not included into this report. Their omission is due to the constraints for the production of this report and is in no way intended as a negative statement on either their relevance or their technical quality. Publications after 2014 are not reflected in this report. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The processes of proliferation prevention measures (PPM) proposals and approval of proposals are presented in the paper. The task of such measures is to create commercial possibilities for scientists of a mass destruction weapon producers in the former Soviet Union countries. This task is carrying out involving both the USA industries and the National Laboratories of the Department of Energy for maintenance of principal ties between private industry and former scientists being worked with nuclear weapon and engineers. At present the PPM project finances 164 projects in 64 institutions in Russia; 16 projects in 14 institutions in Ukraine, 14 projects on 10 institution in Kazakhstan and 1 project in Belarus. In the paper the objectives of PPM program expand are described in details

[en] In the inner and middle ear, subtle anatomical structures are located closely together and therefore can be identified only by a trained examiner. In addition to a detailed description of the inner and middle ear anatomy, the article presents the clinical relationship to diseases and discusses the value of CT and MR in respect to the anatomical location.
