[en] An electronic system is presented by which low energy negative ion or electron beams of weak intensity can be measured. The set up includes an analog-digital converter, photocouplers and a digital analog converter; it is connected to the output of an electron multiplier and allows the return to earth of the reference potential. Mass spectra of negative ions are thus obtained with a quadrupole mass spectrometer

AbstractAbstract
[en] A high sensitivity current logarithmic amprifire was constructed to monitor ion beam currents in JAERI tandem accelerator. The newly designed logarithmic amplifire enabled stable observation of beam currents ranging from 10 pA to 100 μA with good longterm stability. Compaired with the previously used model, stability, range of measurement, maintenability and reliability were greatly improved. (author)
