AbstractAbstract
[en] Wireless communication using GSM system with the dust concentration monitor AMIZ 2000 enables creation of the large networks or the ambient air monitoring. Such network can consist of some monitors and one central computer, and assures easy and permanent access to the results of measurements stored in the dust concentration gauge. To fulfill demands for the wireless communication a new model of AMIZ 2004G monitor had to be designed. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Comparative measurements of the beta-particle depth dose distribution for a planar 147Pm source were determined using an extrapolation chamber (ECH), radiochromic dye films (RDF) and 7LiF ultra thin thermoluminescence dosemeters (utTLD). The absolute dose estimates provided by the ECH are in excellent agreement with respect to those obtained from RDF dosemeters. In general the agreement between the ECH and the RDF were within 10%. The depth doses initially obtained using 7LiF utTLD dosemeters assuming the dosemeter centre as the effective point of measurement exhibited an overestimation from 18% for the first 10 mg.cm-2 up to 60% at 30 mg.cm-2 with respect to the ECH measurements. However in this assumption the utTLD estimations neglected the dose gradient inside the dosemeter. In order to take this into account the observed relation between the dose rate measured for each utTLD disc and its corresponding mass thickness was used to calculate the dose rate at the disc surface. A significant improvement in terms of agreement with the absolute measurements was achieved using this approach. The much higher sensitivity of utTLDs compared with ECH and RDF make this technique particularly useful for absorbed dose measurements for low activity beta particle sources. (author)

[en] The possibilities of design of an artificial antineutrino source based on the long-lived isotope 147 Pm with activity ∼ 5 mCi are proposed. This source can be used to carry out neutrino experiments. A special feature of such experiments is a use of low-background low-threshold detectors in deep underground laboratories. 22 refs., 4 figs., 5 tabs

[en] Ionex dosemeter and babyline survey meter were calibrated by using secondary standard source. Calibration factors of ionex dosemeter is slightly independent on the magnitude of dose rate with the uncertainty of +-0.43% at the significant level 95%, and calibration factors of babyline survey meter is dependent on the dose rate for the respective of the three beta rays sources with the uncertainty of +-2.19% at the significant level 95%. Calibration factors will decrease when the energy maximum of beta rays increase. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A radiochemical procedure has been developed for the isolation of fission-product praseodymium. The procedure involves solvent extraction of Ce(IV) into HDEHP, milking Pr(III) from Ce parents, and purification of Pr with TTA-TBP solvent extraction. The procedure has been used to isolate and study 12 min Pr-147 and 2.1 min Pr-148. Fission products were prepared by irradiation (approximately 2x1O12ncm-2sec-1) of enriched uranium (0.1-1.0 mg of 90% U-235) as uranyl nitrate solution. Detection by the γ-ray spectra most of which were obtained with a ''15%'' Ge(Li) detector (2.3 keV FWHM at 1332 keV). Low energy radiations of Pr-147 were detected with a small planar Ge(Li) detector (approximately 0.7 keV at 122 keV). (T.I.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Neutron-rich 147,149,151Pr nuclei, produced in the spontaneous fission of 252Cf, were studied using the Gammasphere array. Possible parity doublets in 147Pr with N=88 and πh11/2 bands in 149,151Pr are proposed. These new data on the level structures of odd Pr isotopes suggest that octupole correlations may also be present in the neutron-rich 59147Pr88 nucleus such as those observed in 58146Ce88, and also that the h11/2 bands in the 149,151Pr track in energy the yrast bands in 148,150Ce. The backbending related to the breaking of the neutron i13/2 pair is observed at ℎω∼0.27 (MeV) for the proton h11/2 band of 149Pr

AbstractAbstract
[en] An accurate relativistic theory of the internal bremsstrahlung (IB) accompanying β decay is developed with allowance for the screening of the Coulomb field of the nucleus by the atomic electron shells. The Teitz potential is used to represent the short-range screening potential. The screened potential not only is more realistic, but also substantially simplifies the numerical calculations. The shape of the IB spectrum is calculated for 35S, 45Ca, 147Pm, and 203Hg. The results are compared with calculations carried through to the first order in αZ and with the experimental data. Good agreement is found between the available theoretical calculations and experimental data for the allowed β transitions in 35S and 45Ca

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper: - the time dependence of permeation of 147Pm3+ from aqueous solution through animal skin model was studied; - the age dependence of promethium through the skin was proved; - the optimum biological model of human skin was selected, and - the relative importance of the main diffusion pathways for 147Pm3+ the diffusion across the intact skin and the diffusion through the hair channels was assessed. Concluding it can be said, that: -it was proved, that the 5-day-old rats (5DR) represents the optimum animal model to the human skin; - in the case of 8DR to 11DR the dominant route of 147Pm3+ penetration is along the follicles; - the permeation resistance of the skin depends on the thickness and mechanical properties of the skin. Comparing amounts of penetrated ions of promethium through the skin without hairs (3DR to 6DR) and through the skin with hairs, it was showed that the additional diffusion along hair's follicles pronounced with animal skin can be important also in case of human skin where hair density is many times lower than in used animal models. AbstractAbstract
[en] The thermoluminescent dosemeters of LiF, graphite-mixed LiF, CaF2:Mn, CaF2:Dy and ultra-thin BeO:Li, Li2B4O7:Ag, Cu and CaSO4:Tm were studied as to their angular (between 0 and 1800) and energy dependence when exposed to 90Sr + 90Y, 204Tl and 147Pm beta radiation. A strong angular dependence was observed. Among all tested samples, the CaSO4:Tm dosemeters showed the lowest energy dependence. Only the thermally stimulated exoelectron emission detectors of BeO (thickness 1000A) showed the ideal behaviour of energy independence. The sample thickness influence was clearly vinible from this study. (Author)

(Autor)Original Title
