AbstractAbstract
[en] The ground state band of the proton-odd Ta isotopes, built on g_7_/_2 orbital, is investigated within the framework of a recently-developed extended Bohr Hamiltonian model. Energy levels of ground state band with their admixture with other possible bands built on g_7_/_2 orbital and B(E2) values inside ground state band are calculated and compared with available experimental data. AbstractAbstract
[en] In neutron activation analysis the sample to be analysed is counted with the same detection efficiency as the standard or else a correction factor is determined to correct for the difference. The components contributing to the uncertainty of the detection efficiency correction factor were identified and evaluated by using "1""2Ta gamma-rays for typical NAA samples counted 1 and 100 mm from the detector. Uncertainties as high as 20 % were found due to coincidence summing and gamma attenuation. It was shown how to incorporate these components into the NAA uncertainty budget. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Considerable progress has been made in the study of proton-emitting nuclei since the first observation of direct proton emission nearly half a century ago. This has led to improvements in our understanding of this rare decay process and provided invaluable nuclear structure data far from the valley of beta stability. This paper reviews the implications of some recent results for exotic iridium, rhenium and tantalum isotopes and considers prospects for future experimental studies of proton-emitting nuclei located at and above the N = 82 neutron shell closure. AbstractAbstract
[en] In the current work the correlation emission process of several π- -mesons generating under interaction of carbon nuclei with tantalum nuclei was studied. For these purposes effective mass spectra of π- -mesons system (n=2-8) were analyzed. In the paper dependence of mean effective mass of π- -mesons system from its number in the group is studied. It is shown that the dependence has linear character indicating on absence of dynamic correlations. It is revealed, that effective mass spectra have not resonance-like irregularities. Increase of plurality of π- -mesons with increase of mass number of flying nucleus takes place practically equally in all velocities ranges. This could evident about dominating formation of π- -mesons in inelastic recharge of separate nucleons. As well as size of pions emission field was examined which is linearly growing with pions number in system. In common the obtained results indicate on independence of nucleons interaction of projectile nucleus with target nucleus and independent formation of these pions

AbstractAbstract
[en] No-carrier-added (nca) 199-201Tl has been separated from nca 199-201Pb using an environmentally friendly biocompatible polymer, poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone). The method uses no harmful chemicals and is based on the process of dialysis of PVP-Pb and PVP-Tl complexes against triple-distilled water. It has been observed after one hour of dialysis that 75-85% Tl (in both +3 and +1 oxidation states) comes out of dialysis sack without any contamination from lead. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A method for determination and follow up of the size of inoperable intraabdominal tumours has been devised. At laparotomy, tantalum balls are deposited into the capsule of the tumour. An X-ray stereophotogrammetric method determines their position, which define a polyhedron whose volume can be computer calculated. The value of the method was proved in four patients with inoperable ovarian carcinoma, which provides a simple way for the continuous follow up of the effect of antineoplastic therapy in advanced malignant tumours.
