AbstractAbstract
[en] The CLEO detector at the Cornell e+e- storage ring CESR was used to search for the two-photon production of the glueball candidate fJ(2220) in its decay to K0sK0s and π+π-. I present restrictive upper limits on the product of the two-photon width and the respective branching fraction [Γγγ BK0sK0s]fJ(2220) < 1.3eV, 95% CL and [ΓγγBπ+π-]fJ(2220) < 2.5 eV, 95% CL. When these two limits are combined to calculate a lower limit on the Stickiness, a measure of the two-gluon coupling relative to the two-photon coupling, a lower limit Sfj(2220) > 102, 95% CL is found. A new measure of this ratio of couplings is the Gluiness; a combined lower limit of Gfj(2220) > 66, 95% CL is found. These limits on the Stickiness and the Gluiness indicate that the fj(2220) is likely to have substantial neutral parton or glueball content

AbstractAbstract
[en] We examine the possibility that the ξ(2230) meson is a member of the pomeron trajectory. A method of connecting the ξ→pp-tilde decay width and the pp cross sections through the pomeron residue function is presented. We have used a relativistic, singularity-free form factor to make the analytic continuation of the residue function between crossed channels. We predict that if the ξ(2230) meson is a pomeron, then it should have a ξ→pp-tilde decay width of about 2 MeV. (author). Letter-to-the-editor

AbstractAbstract
[en] Several narrow resonance features in the system of two KS mesons were found on the basis of experimental data obtained by using the 6-m spectrometer of the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics (ITEP, Moscow). Three resonances, X(1070), X(1545), and fJ(2220), are considered in the present study. An interference with the background is observed for the X(1545) resonance. It is shown that X(1070) and fJ(2220) resonances are produced under nearly identical kinematical conditions characterized by high transverse momenta and the production of accompanying extra pions.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Results of investigation into π-p→Ks0Ks0n reaction under the maximum (2.4-3.6 GeV/c2) Ks0Ks0 system masses accessible for observation are presented. The reaction was investigated using the 6-m ITEP MIS spectrometer at 40 GeV/c incident beam momentum. 9400 reaction events with cutting by the transmitted momentum t'<0.12 (GeV/c)2 are used. X(3075) resonance parameters appeared to be as follows: M=3075±30 MeV/c2, G=170±80MeV/c2. A conclusion is drawn that X(3075) belongs to a deep daughter trajectory or, possibly, appears to be a member of a glueball family with JPC=4++ spin. States with higher spins in this mass area (in case they exist) should be stroughly suppressed by the centrifugal barrier

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper, I present the most recent hadron spectroscopy results stemming from in-flight p-barp reactions at LEAR. In the mass range from approximately 2.0 to 2.43 GeV, scans for both broad and narrow resonances have been performed. The PS185, Crystal Barrel and Jetset experiments figure prominently in the results presented. Particular attention is given to the latest searches for the ξ(2220)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Using a nonrelativistic gluon bound-state model, we compute Γ(G→γγ), where G is a pseudoscalar, tensor, or scalar digluon, starting from the amplitudes of the process γγ→g/sup */g/sup */ at threshold, the g/sup */'s being massive constituent gluons. Those amplitudes are obtained, at lowest order in perturbative QCD, by deriving them from a QED calculation performed many years ago by Constantini, de Tollis, and Pistoni. The unknown parameter (the digluon wave function, or its first or second derivative, at the origin) is determined by using measured values of Γ(J/psi→Gγ). Our predictions are compared, for various glueball candidates, with present experimental limits
