[en] A part of the Baturaja formation was discovered at the wai Seputih and the wai Sekampung. They are consisting of quartz sandstones, quartz conglomerates, siltstones, shales, and stringers of coals and limestones. The limestones contain spiroclypeous and myogypsina. The Baturaja sediment in this area is about 130 metres until 600 metres thick, they were improperly deposited in old miocene on the crystalline schist and massive granite and were overlain by the pleistocene volcanic sediment.
