[en] Possibility of friction welding of tubes of zirconium alloy with 2.5% niobium is shown. Welding parameters permitting to produce defectless joints (pressure at heat 0.8-1.2 MPa, welding time ≤ 55) have been determined. Welding is recommended to conduct with inert gas protection. Short-term mechanical and long-term corrosion properties of N2.5 alloy welded joints, produced under optimal welding conditions, are at the level of base metal properties
