AbstractAbstract
[en] Until recently there has been no direct phenomenological evidence on the density dependence of the π-nucleus optical potential. This has changed with the recent data on the excited 0+ states which constrain the density dependence and gives strong support for the LLEE effect and the suppression of multiple scattering in the nuclear medium. 15 refs.; 5 figs
