[en] This paper discusses an underwater machining system for the repair and maintenance of nuclear vessels. It comprises a platform with means for supporting the platform in a substantially horizontal plane; a machining device detachably connectable to the platform comprising a milling or boring machine and a spacial positioning means for locating the milling or boring machines in a precise working position.
