[en] Because available therapy cannot always distinguish between malignant and nonmalignant cells, the toxicity of chemotherapeutic agents to normal tissue remains a troublesome issue. Various chemotherapeutic agents such as bleomycin, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide and L-asparagianse, which cause pulmonary fibrosis, cardiomyopathy, pancreatitis, and hemorrhagic cystitis, respectively, are familiar to radiologists.
