[en] In 2003 the great progress was achieved in HIRFL-CSR project. A large number of components for the HIRFL upgrade have been completed. A new control and diagnostic system for HIRFL has been installed and put into operation. Three new isotopes ²⁶⁵Bh, ¹²⁹Pm and ¹⁹⁷Os were produced and identified, respectively. A lot of analysis works on the heavy ion applications to material science and γ or x-rays irradiation in biology science were made. A lot of work on both software and hardware for the control system of HIRFL-CSR and on the development of electronics and detectors have been done. The progresses and achievements of IMP and HIRFL during year of 2003 was summarized in this annual report. The contents includes theoretical nuclear physics, experimental nuclear physics and nuclear chemistry, application of heavy ion physics and nuclear technique, atomic physics, computer technique and electronics, accelerator and the others
