AbstractAbstract
[en] In order to calculate the seismic response of steel containment submerged in liquid, the fluid solid interaction (FSI) should be considered. This paper analyzes the seismic response of steel containment submerged in liquid based on the analytic method and the finite element method. The main works of this paper are given as follow: 1) The procedures of the seismic response of steel containment using analytic method are introduced; 2) On the basis of the finite element method, we propose the added mass method and the potential-based elements method respectively. At last, for choosing the proper method to solve the problem, the advantages and disadvantages between the analytic method and the finite element method are compared. (authors)
