AbstractAbstract
[en] The question which we should like to discuss briefly can be divorced from the point of view of principle, though not honestly from the point of view of incentive, from the phenomenological developments. Everyone knows that in the expansion of the two-nucleon interaction in powers of the nucleons relative momentum, the L.S term is the term of first order. Some of us feel that a reasonably correct version of the static term has been derived from meson theory. Our attempt has been simply to extend the methods available to first order in the nucleon velocity. (author)
