[en] Solvent removal in many areas of scientific research, whether concentration of samples or complete drying has been considered as a major challenge during the solvent extraction processes. Personal solvent evaporator (PSE) is one of the advanced technologies system that have been developed for the solvent removal in various sample chemistries. This system consists of centrifugal vacuum concentrators and freeze driers capable of removing water and organic solvents. The techniques used in this system combines great performance, ease of use and compatibility with all commonly used solvents. This paper gives a brief overview of personal solvent evaporator for different solvent group and its application in scientific research such as natural product, analytical chemistry, medicinal chemistry and post purification sample handling.
