AbstractAbstract
[en] The results of the effect of radiation thermal treatment in media controlled on the change in alloy chemical composition and on phase transformations in alloys based on copper and iron are presented. Copper - iron alloys (up to 2 at.% Fe), iron -manganese (24-35 at.% Mn) and iron - nickel (24-30 at.% Ni) are studied. It is shown that as a result of irradiation by electrons and γ - quanta in media controlled at comparatively low temperatures in steels and alloys the content of O, H, C, N and S can change. Thus, depending on irradiation medium, both material saturation with these elements and removal of these elements from material irradiated can occur. It is shown that as a result of radiation - induced oxygen saturation of Cu - Fe, Fe -Mn and Fe - Ni alloys under γ - quanta irradiation (Treg ∼ 40 deg C) the decomposition process of oversaturated solid solution and γ - α - transformation is initiated

AbstractAbstract
[en] Alloys Cu-Fe produced by ion or laser implantations of iron ions into a copper plate were investigated. The Moessbauer electron spectra of samples implanted with ion fluences of 3x1015; 7x1015; 1016; 2x1016 and 6x1016 cm-2 are presented. It is shown that during the strong current ion implantation of Fe into Cu unlike the traditional method of the materials ion alloying based on the magnetic separation of an ion beam (current density is lower by 4 orders) at the expense of a more intense mixing of components in an alloyed layer, the number of isolated Fe atoms is almost 2 times larger. At that, when the implantation process has been completed, Cu-Fe surface alloys are characterized with a larger quantity of structural defects. The laser implantation of Fe into copper permits to introduce a larger quantity of impurity atoms as compared with the ion implantation, as the sputtering effect has some other nature for this kind of the implantation

AbstractAbstract
[en] A semiempirical formula is derived for evaluating the lowest concentration of Moessbauer atoms whose signal can be reliably recorded by electron Moessbauer spectroscopy. The concentration is calculated from the resonance effect magnitude epsilon in a sample of known chemical composition, on the basis of the cross sections of photoelectric absorption of source gamma photons by the sample atoms, the energy and probability of production of photo-electrons and their associated Auger electrons, and the probability of recoilless gamma-photon absorption in the sample. Experimental testing showed that the calculated and measured values of epsilon differ by not more than 20%

AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper reports that the oxygen, hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, and sulfur contents of steels and alloys can vary as a result of irradiation by electrons and gamma rays at comparatively low temperatures. As this takes place, the materials can be either saturated with these elements, or these elements can be removed from the irradiated materials, depending on the irradiation medium. Transformations are initiated as a result of radiation-stimulated oxygenation of copper-iron, iron-manganese, and iron-nickel alloys irradiated by gamma rays
