AbstractAbstract
[en] With directly in the living organism born ions exception, LNI coming through three phases: ionisation, attachment by the electronegative molecules and the clusters formation due to local electrostatic interactions. The quantitative analysis of physical parameters leads to conclusion that we cannot find any physical property (till known) explaining the positive affect of LNI on living organisms. Analysis of possible mechanism produces several hypotheses of LNI-organism interaction. A simplified semi-quantitative model of respiratory tract was developed for estimation of ions and ozone interaction with living organisms. A formation of oxygen radicals and products of their chain-reactions in intrinsic conditions is discussed

AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper is focused on a study of treatment of polyester fabric by an atmospheric dielectric barrier discharge (DBD). The experiment has been done in air pumping regime. Modification efficiency was analyzed by a drop test measurement. A time dependent modification was observed. The positive effect of the plasma treatment is more prominent in the case of 360 s modification time. Stability of modification effect in time is also discussed

AbstractAbstract
[en] Results of experimental investigation of corona light emission for different point-plane electrode configurations are presented. Studied corona discharge was burning in the air at atmospheric pressure. Electric field distribution for the same electrode configuration had been calculated, too. Paper compares measured and calculated data with respect to possible optimisation of the electrode is configuration. Electric field intensity distributions were calculated by the relaxation method

AbstractAbstract
[en] Voltage-ampere characteristics of the atmospheric DC corona discharges on living botanical objects have been measured. Analysis of the results confirmed the known empirical relation, but a small disagreement with empirical relation has been found. These differences are discussed and empirical relation for current-voltage law is proposed. (Authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In many practical applications, such as xerography and static charge elimination, a number of point corona electrodes may be employed in parallel; another growing application of corona discharges is the cleaning effect on gases by means of precipitators. High geoelectric field intensity occurring as a result of meteorological situations also gives rise to corona discharges at the tree tops. These discharges are also multiple point discharges, especially on coniferous trees. This paper presents the experimental results obtained with the multineedle discharge electrodes, and the modelling of the negative corona discharge on living objects by multiple point - to - plane corona is also presented.
