AbstractAbstract
[en] Measurements of the angular distributions of vector analyzing power Asub(y) were made for the reaction 58Ni(d,t)57Ni at 16.5 MeV and for the reactions 60Ni(d,t)59Ni and 62Ni(d,t)61Ni at 15.0 MeV deuteron bombarding energy. Transitions for which lsub(n) = 1 and 3 were observed. The data were compared with DWBA calculations. The systematic behavior of Asub(y) for the various values of the total angular momentum carried by the transferred neutron was observed. The data for lsub(n) = 1 transitions were found to be in reasonably good agreement with the calculations, and permit a clear distinction between the two possible spin values of the residual state. The data for transitions to 5/2- and 7/2- states are less characteristic of the j-value, but nevertheless yield spin assignments for several transitions from their systematics. The data for l = 3 transitions are not in good agreement with the DWBA calculations. (Auth.)
