AbstractAbstract
[en] The prompt neutron spectrum of 238U fission induced by 12 MeV neutrons was measured using a multi-segment fission chamber and a two-arm TOF spectrometer. The flight time of the incident neutrons was event by event recorded. Use of coincidence between the fission fragments and neutrons enabled the fission neutrons to be distinguished from other secondary ones. The events induced by 12 MeV neutrons were software-selected by gating the 12 Mev peak of incident neutron TOF spectrum. The measured spectrum can be roughly described by the Maxwellian distribution with T equal to 1.46 ± 0.04 MeV. 8 figs

AbstractAbstract
[en] The bound-state β- decay stands for a particular weak interaction decay mode, which has a significant or dominant contribution to the β- decays of some highly ionized heavy atoms. The progress of the theoretical and experimental studies on this decay mode, and its importance to the s-process synthesis of heavy elements as well as the 187Re-187Os cosmochronometer are presented

AbstractAbstract
[en] The experimental and theoretical studies of the electron screening effects in charged-particle induced reactions at energies of astrophysical interest are systematically reviewed, and the theoretical discussions on the electrostatic screening effects in the thermonuclear reactions in stellar plasma are also summarized briefly. The author demonstrates that a deep understanding of the influences of astrophysical environment on the nuclear processes is one of the important topics in nuclear astrophysics

[en] Some of (p,n),(d,p),(d,n) and (d, 3He) reactions involving heavy-ions in reversed geometries are proposed for producing the kinematically compressed beams of ions such as 6He, 7Be, 8Li, 11C, 12B, 13N, 15O and 17F. A simple facility being constructed to produce and utilize these beams is briefly described

AbstractAbstract
[en] Transport theory approach to the parton muliple hard scattering in nucleus and the corresponding Monte Caolo techniques have been developed. The puzzle of Q2 dependence is overcome by bias sampling method. As an example the ratio of π+ production in p (Ep = 400 GeV) + W reaction to p + p reaction has been calculated. The agreement of the calculated results with the data is reasonably good

AbstractAbstract
[en] Neutron spectra of Be(d,n) reaction were measured for deuteron energies from 13.5 to 22 MeV by using a stilbene scintillator detector and flight time technique. A special calibration method of neutron detector efficiency for higher energy portion was adopted. The spectral neutron yield per unit beam charge on the Be target at 0 degree C was determined. The fluence-averaged mean neutron energies of the neutron spectra are given as a function of the incident energy for several thresholds. The measured neutron spectra have almost the same shape at different incident deuteron energies. High energy portion (En>1.8 MeV) and low energy portion (En<2.0 MeV) of the neutron spectra were separately measured and they were concerned with each other by normalization. The energy range of whole neutron spectra is 0.7 MeV to 30 MeV

AbstractAbstract
[en] The timing character of the fission ionization chamber is improved by decreasing the plate spacing and increasing the plate voltage. With the aid of the ORTEC fast modulars, the time resolution of 2 ns is obtained in the fission cross section measurement by using time correlated associated particle method. The efficiency of the chamber is 98.6-99.3%
