AbstractAbstract
[en] Metal-oxide mixtures form eutectic structures when melted with group Va and VIa metals. With the appropriate composition of the oxide mixture, the metal occurs as ordered fibers embedded in the oxide matrix. The eutectics in these systems are of the faceted-nonfaceted type in which the oxide matrix exhibits faceted and the metallic phase nonfaceted growth. From metallographic and SEM studies conclusions concerning the growth mechanisms in these systems can be drawn. With help of metallographic and SEM investigations a model of formation of eutectic structures in a binary system is discussed. (orig.)

Keramik-Metall-Eutektika, bei denen die metallische Phase in Form geordneter Fasern in die Oxidmatrix eingebettet ist, entstehen beim Abkuehlen von Mischungen bestimmter Oxide mit Va und VIa Metallen aus der Schmelze, Es handelt sich um facettet-nichtfacettete Eutektika, bei denen die Oxidmatrix facettet und die Metallphase nichtfacettet wachsen. Metallographische- und REM-Untersuchungen lassen Rueckschluesse auf den Bildungsmechanismus derartiger Eutektika zu. Aufgrund der metallographischen- und REM-Befunde wird anhand einer binaeren Darstellung eines Metall-Oxid-Systems eine Modellvorstellung zur Entstehung und Ausbildung der eutektischen Gefuege diskutiert. AbstractAbstract
[en] An isothermal section at 12000C of the system Gd-C-N was examined by X-ray techniques. The results give evidence of complete miscibility of the phases GdCsub(x)(x = 0.35-0.65) and GdN. No appreciable miscibility of GdN with Gd2C3 or GdC2 at 12000C could be found. The reaction of nitrogen with GdC2 under pressure of 30 bar at 12000C does not lead to a ternary carbonitride phase as it does in the case of LaC2. (orig.)

[en] The Mo-W-N system has been investigated by nitriding Mo-W alloys of different compositions at 7000C with flowing ammonia. The nitrided samples were annealed at 11000C under nitrogen at pressures of 30 and 300 bars, then analysed and investigated by x-rays. Up to 32% of molybdenum atoms could be replaced by tungsten atoms at a nitrogen pressure of 300 bars, while at 30 bars there was no appreciable solubility of tungsten in γ-M02N. (author)
