AbstractAbstract
[en] A detector comprising of a gridded four-electrode ionization chamber with two position-sensitive proportional counters is described. The detector is designed for the identification of nuclear reaction products according to the ion masses and atomic numbers and for measurements of their energies at the focal plane of a magnetic spectrometer. The detector will be used in experiments on a beam from the U-400 cyclotron. 23 refs.; 6 figs.; 1 tab

AbstractAbstract
[en] It is reported on the startup of the first stage of the Intense REsonance Neutron source installation (IREN) at the Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. The general scheme and current status of the electron linear accelerator with accelerating structure on an S-band traveling wave (f = 2856 MHz) are presented. Results of adjustment of the basic functional systems of the linac and the measured parameters of the beam (pulse current of the beam 1.5 A, electron energy 30 MeV; duration of a pulse current 100 ns; rep. rate 25 Hz) are reported. The integral neutron yield from a nonmultiplying target reaches (3-5)·1010 s-1

AbstractAbstract
[en] The energy spectra of 15O, 14O and 12N nuclei have been measured in 11B(88 MeV)+7Li, 9Be(107)+9Be, 9Be+7Li reactions to obtain information about their partners 3n and 4n systems in reaction exit channel. The energy spectra are well described by many-body phase space curves. No indication about the existence of nuclear stable or quasibound states has been obtained. The small enhancement found in the spectra of 14O from 7Li(11B, 14O) reaction. Yet, due to the poor statistics insufficient to make any definite conclusion about the existence of bound ot unbound state 4n. Limit of production cross section of 4n is equal to 1nb/sr

AbstractAbstract
[en] The energy and angular distributions of light nuclei with 2≤Z≤8 and 3≤A≤20, formed in the 181Ta (232Th) + 20Ne (18 MeV/nucleon) and 181Ta(232Th) + 11B (20 MeV/nucleon) reactions are presentd. It is shown that isotopes with atomic and mass numbers close to the projectile Z and A values are formed basically in transfer reactions. To the formation of lighter products several processes contribute: prompt and sequential breakup of the projectile after massive transfer, and also cluster evaporation either from an excited composite system or from a residual nucleus. It is found that the yield of Li and Be isotopes rises by about two orders of magnitude when increasing the projectile energy from 8 and 18 MeV/nucleon. Further perspectives for the synthesis of 10He and 13Li and for the production of secondary beams of 6,8He and 8,9Li nuclei are analyzed

AbstractAbstract
[en] In the 11B(88.0 MeV)+9Be reaction the energy spectra of the 14O, 15O and 16O nuclei have been measured to obtain some information about their partners in the exit channel - the neutron-rich hydrogen isotopes 4H, 5H and 6H. The unbound levels in the 4H and 6H systems have been observed at excitation energies of 3.5 +- 0.5 MeV (GITA approximately 1 MeV) and 2.6 +- 0.5 MeV (GITA=1.5 +- 0.3 MeV), respectively
