AbstractAbstract
[en] The purpose of the invention is the widening of feasibility of an ondulator by the increase of energy as well as reaching of a high degree of the circular-polarization radiation according to the previously given law of the particle velocity vector rotation in the ondulator using higher order harmonics in the maximum of their intensity on the ondulator axis in the ondulator, containing a cylindrical carcass with permanent magnets placed along its axis, each magnet of length L is rotated relative to previous one through an angle phi. Ratios between α and phi are given. In such ondulator a depicting point of a particle on higher order harmonics moves obliquely and along square sides each time changing the movement direction through 135 deg in its angles. In this case the K harmonic radiation is directed along the ondulator axis and both in the intensity maximum and energy maximum the polarization degree is equal to 100%. The ondulator suggested can be effectively used as a source of circular-polarized hard radiation

[en] General analytical expressions are derived which describe the influence of the angular and energy spreads of the particle beam on the spectral-angular intensity of sources of spontaneous wiggler radiation and on the gain of sources of stimulated wiggler radiation (wiggler free-electron lasers). Particular consideration is given to the cases of beams having uniform and Gaussian distributions of the particles over energy and over the axial angles specifying the direction of the particle momentum. 19 references

AbstractAbstract
[en] Possible parameters of Light Sources (LS) based on Backward Rayleigh scattering (BRS) of laser photons on relativistic ion beams in storage rings are discussed. It was shown that the parameters of the LS based on the RHIC storage ring (dedicated to high energy physics now) satisfy the requirements of the 2nd generation LS. Using the ordinary or enhanced radiative cooling of ion beams in storage rings by broad-band lasers will permit to decrease essentially their emittance, dimensions, angular and energy spreads and convert them to the next generation of LS

AbstractAbstract
[en] The invention is related to accelerating technics and can be used to produce narrow-directional polarized electromagnetic radiation over a wide spectrum range. The invention has for its aim to produce both circularly polarized and linearly polarized radiations as well as to increase radiation hardness and intensity. This aim is attained by that the winding comprises two concentric layers, each of them wound by two series-connected conductors forming a double-out spiral. The spiral cuts are shifted with respect to one another by half a winding pitch, the conductors of one layer forming a left screw line, those of the other - a right screw line. The dimensions and the size of the suggested device are less as compared with the known devices intended for producing linearly-polarized radiation at the same length. The frequency and antensity of monochromatic circularly-polarized radiation in the suggested device are far greater than in a solenoid
