AbstractAbstract
[en] The possibilities of combined application of KFP-12 and KB-2x7P macroporous cationites for concentrating scandium from solutions of the spent chloride melt of titanium chlorates are studied. Three variants of the two-stage concentrating have been investigated. It is shown that the introduction of the second stage allows to considerably raise the degree of scandium purification from titanium, zirconium, thorium, aluminium, chromium (3) and iron (3) impurities

AbstractAbstract
[en] Use was made of macroporous phosphate cationite KFP-12. The maximum charge of the sorbent with scandium and minimum losses of the metal take place when sorption is conducted in the acidic medium (20-40 g/l HCl). Complete purification of scandium from alkali and alkali earth elements, aluminium and manganese was attained. The product obtained - scandium carbonate eluate - contains titanium and zirconium as main impurities

AbstractAbstract
[en] Corrosion of nickel has been studied by the method of the rotating disc in melts of potassium and sodium chlorides containing vanadium trichloride in the concentration 0-20.0 wt.% in the temperature range 1103-1328 K. Corrosion proceeds in the diffusion region, the corrosion rate being controlled by diffusion of either V3+ or V2+ depending on the concentration of VCl3 in the melts. The apparent activation energy of nickel corrosion is 43,110-74660 joule/mol
