AbstractAbstract
[en] Experimental data on (d,π-) reactions at 300 MeV and 600 MeV incident energy are presented. Inclusive spectra on 6Li, 9Be and 10B targets near the kinematical limit do not show the usual scaling behaviour. For the two-body reaction 6Li(d,π-)8B the lowest energy discrete states of the final nucleus were clearly resolved and the cross sections for pion production leading to those states have been determined

AbstractAbstract
[en] Differential cross sections have been measured for (t,d) reactions on 45Sc, 52Cr and 60Ni near the Coulomb barrier at beam energies from 2.2 to 3.5 MeV. From the DWBA sub-Coulomb analysis, the normalization coefficient D2 of (t,d) reactions was extracted to within 7% accuracy. The spectroscopic factors of some low-lying 46Sc levels were deduced. Discussion is given to the sensitivity of the results to variations in the optical model parameters, the bound state neutron description and the approximations in the analysis. (Auth.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Several models were employed at the NRC to study the characteristics of CERN and MIT type migration chambers. The performance of CERN and MIT chambers was evaluated using the Saturne beam. The results enabled working conditions to be established for this type of chamber, reading problems to be studied and some special points associated with the final specifications of the SPES III chambers to be defined

AbstractAbstract
[en] A new amplifying system, to be used in the CERN drift chambers at SPES III, has been realized and tested with a new model at the CRN of Strasbourg. Using a MB 43458 FUJI preamplifier close to the chamber short-circuiting the amplifier part of the existing Lecroy MVL100, it is possible to lower the working voltage of the chamber by 250 volts
[fr]

AbstractAbstract
[en] In the framework of the RD-17 project at CERN an extensive work is in progress on the development of scintillating-fibre detectors using position-sensitive photomultipliers. With 0.5 mm diameter fibres a spatial resolution of about 125 μm was obtained with a detection efficiency higher than 95%. The time resolution of the detector is about 600 ps, and the track position is properly digitised in real time in less than 10 ns by a peak sensing circuit. A simulation, based on experimental data, has also been performed to compare different types of front-end electronics. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Energy excitation spectra have been obtained for hypernuclei in the s-d shell from (K-,π-) reaction in flight on 32/sub Λ/S and 40/sub Λ/Ca. The analysis is carried out in a simple particle hole model and leads to the results that the Λ behaves in the nucleus like an independant particle in a harmonic oscillator potential well with no significant spin orbit term
