AbstractAbstract
[en] The Collider Detector at Fermilab (CDF) is a large, azimuthally symmetric detector designed to study anti pp interactions at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. Results are presented from data taken with a minimum bias trigger at √s=630 and 1800GeV during the 1987 run. The topics include the current analysis of dn/dη and some very preliminary results on short range pseudorapidity correlations and Bose-Einstein correlations. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The objective of this talk is to compare the CDF W+ ≥ 3 Jets data with Monte Carlo predictions using the standard model with the top quark. The data is seen to be consistent with these predictions using the t bar t production rate indicated by the SVX b-tagging and the previously reported top mass

AbstractAbstract
[en] The experience of the Collider Detector at Fermilab (CDF) with aging in the large axial drift chamber responsible for tracking in the central region is presented. Premature aging in the Run 1 chamber was observed after only 0.02 C/cm. After cleaning much of the gas system and making modifications to reduce aerosols from the alcohol bubbler, the observed aging rate fell dramatically in test chambers. Considerable effort has been made to better understand the factors that affect aging since the replacement chamber for Run 2 will accumulate about 1.0 C/cm. Current test chambers using the full CDF gas system show aging rates of less than 5%/C/cm

AbstractAbstract
[en] A measurement of the diffractive psi' photoproduction cross section is presented. The ratio of the psi' photoproduction cross section to the psi photoproduction cross section is found to be 0.20 +- 0.05 at an average energy of 150 GeV. Using vector meson dominance, the ratio of psi'-nucleon to psi-nucleon cross sections is 0.75 +- 0.12

AbstractAbstract
[en] The goal of the measurement was to study some parameters of DEP HYBRID PHOTODIODES (HPD), and the check its performance for CMS calorimetry at LHC. The principal of the HPD operation is described. The schematic view of the HPD. The HPD is vacuum photo device composed of photocathode (PC) and a silicon PIN diode (Si) as multiplication system in a very close proximity geometry. The distance between PC and Si is of the order of several mm and has an electric field < 10 kV. The photoelectron emited by the photocathode multiply by a factor of several thousand in the silicon and the charge is collected on the HPD's anode. Several types of HPD's were tested. There was a single channel HPD, called open-quotes E-typeclose quotes with p-side of the silicon facing the HPD's photocathode and two multipixel HPD (DEP) namely a 25 pixel HPD and a 7 pixel HPD. Both were of open-quotes T-typeclose quotes structure with n-side of silicon facing the photocathode

AbstractAbstract
[en] Results are presented from Fermilab E-400 on the production of charmed baryons and mesons at a mean energy of 640 GeV. We show evidence for the charm-strange baryon, Ξ/sub c/+, and present our measurements of its mass, width, lifetime, cross section and relative branching fractions, and the A, x/sub f/, p/sub t/, and particle/antiparticle dependence of the state. We show evidence for both the Σ/sub c/2+ and Σ/sub c/0, and present measurements of three mass differences, Σ/sub c/2+ - Σ/sub c/0, Σ/sub c/0 - Λ/sub c/+, and Σ/sub c/2+ - Λ/sub c/+. Measurements of the A dependence and particle/antiparticle ratios for Σ/sub c/ production are also presented. We show preliminary results on the ratio of two decay modes of the D0, D0 → K+K- and D0 → K0anti K0. The latter mode has not been previously observed. 8 refs., 10 figs
