AbstractAbstract
[en] Excitation of resonance lines of doubly charged ions of calcium, strontium, and barium is studied for collisions of slow electrons (E< or =300 eV) with Ca, Sr, and Ba atoms. Consideration of the results obtained allowed us to draw the conclusion that formation of doubly charged ions of these elements in resonance states is determined mainly by the interaction of an incident electron with the electrons of the outer np6 subshell of the atoms, i.e., a single-electron process

AbstractAbstract
[en] An investigation was made of the vacuum ultraviolet emission spectra due to radiative decay of autoionizing states excited by collisions of electrons with K, Rb, Cs, Ca, Sr, and Ba atoms. The energy dependences of the excitation cross sections were determined for the strongest spectral lines corresponding to such decay, and the lines were identified. It was established that the autoionizing states whose radiative decay was investigated were subject also to considerable electron decay. The absolute values of the effective excitation cross sections were determined for some of the spectral lines of alkali atoms

[en] Experiments with intersecting beams of slow electrons and lithium atoms reveal the excitation of several spectral lines (193.1, 198.5, 204.0, 217.3, 233.7, and 293.4 nm) which correspond to transitions between auto-ionization states of the lithium atom

AbstractAbstract
[en] The spectra of strontium radiation in the wavelength range of 40-100 nm were studied with the aid of the spectroscopic method and of crossing electron and atomic beams. The resonance lines of Sr 3 and Sr 4 proved to be the most intensive ones in the spectrum. The analysis of the studied energy dependences of the excitation of the resonance lines suagests that two- and three- charge excited Sr ions are produced as a result of single-electron interaction of an impinging electron with 4p and 4s internal electrons of the atom

AbstractAbstract
[en] The emission vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) spectra due to radiative decay of the autoionization states excited in collisions between electrons and K, Rb, Cs, and Ca, Sr, Ba atoms are investigated. The energy dependences of the excitation cross sections for the most intense spectral lines corresponding to the decay are measured. The lines are identified. It is found that the auto-ionization states whose radiative decay is investigated in the present paper can experience considerable electron decay. The absolute effective excitation cross sections of some of the spectral lines of the alkali atoms are determined

AbstractAbstract
[en] First results on the Raman spectrum of ScBO3 single crystals are presented. All spectra were taken in backscattering configuration from a polished surface close to (001). Five phonon lines are clearly displayed in polarized Raman spectrum of ScBO3 for Z(XX)Z-bar scattering configuration, whereas the line of A1g mode disappears in the crossed Z(XY)Z-bar configuration. The mode symmetries wave numbers, and halfwidths are given
