[en] Polarization effects in electron bremsstrahlung on a nucleus in a constant external field are considered. The bremsstrahlung cross section on the nucleus in the constant homogeneous magnetic field with regard to photon polarization and electron spin states is calculated. Two limiting cases are investigated. It is shown that in the high frequency region bremsstrahlung introduces a contribution into the total intensity of electron radiation on the nucleus. In the low frequency spectrum range bremsstrahlung can not be practically separate from the synchrotron radiation and it should be considered as correction to the synchrotron radiation. Only the total intensity of the synchrotron radiation and bremsstrahlung has the real physical meaning

[en] The effect of the Coulomb field of a nucleus on the process taking place also in the absence of interaction with a nucleus is considered. The covariance method has been used to demonstrate the applicability of the equivalent photon approximation to describe the interference of the diagram without interaction with a nucleus and the diagram for two-photon exchange with a nucleus. The interference gives a contribution to the cross section of the same order of magnitude as the square of the one-photon exchange diagram. To illustrate this the equivalent photonapproximation has been employed to calculate the cross section for the π→μ+ν decay on a nucleus with neglect of the electromagnetic structure. Thus, it has been proved that taking account of the interference contribution to the total cross section is of fundamental importance

[en] The cross section for the Primakoff mechanism (which is due to direct photon-axion interaction) of the reaction γ + e → e + α in a constant crossed (EH = E2 - H2 = 0) electromagnetic field is calculated. The resonance production of axions in the kinematic region where a virtual photon emitted by the electron proves to be on the mass shell is considered. The resonance contribution to the total cross section for the process under study is obtained and used to set an upper limit on the axion mass (mα ≤ 10-2 eV). Conditions for the applicability of the results obtained are formulated for an arbitrary constant external field. The contribution of the Primakoff process to the axion emissivity of a strongly degenerate magnetized relativistic electron gas is estimated for the conditions of neutron stars. The result is used to set an upper limit on the axion-photon coupling constant: gαγ ≤ 5 x 10-10 GeV-1. 19 refs., 1 fig
