[en] New narrow resonances are searched in the mass region from 1.42 to 1.75 GeV/c2 at Adone. No evidence was found for states having an integrated hadronic cross section larger than 8% of the J/psi (3100) one (at 90% C.L.). (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Experimental evidence is presented for a resonant behaviour of the hadron production from e+e- annihilations at the e+e- storage ring ADONE. A Breit-Wigner fit to the enhancement present between 1800 and 1850 MeV gives the following parameters M=1812sub(-13)+7 MeV, GAMMA=34sub(-15)+21 MeV. (Auth.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The discovery of the J/psi resonance and the measurement of its small width (GAMMAsub(tot)=70 keV) have stimulated an intense experimental search for new narrow resonances in other mass regions. The search at e+e- storage rings is carried out by changing the energy of the colliding beams in steps determined by the energy resolution of the machine (ΔE/Eapproximately10-3Esub(GeV). The result presented refers to a scan made at ADONE, in the mass interval W=2.5-3.0 GeV in steps of 1 MeV. (Auth.)
