AbstractAbstract
[en] The installation is designed for research of interactions between hadrons and polarized protons. It contains an ethylene glycol polarized target, a system of wire-spark detectors connected on-line with an EC-1010 computer, a system of scintillation and threshold Cherenkov counters for secondary particle separation. The spectrometric abilities of the installation are provided by the magnet of the polarized target with spark chambers in its field. Now it is located in a beam of the ITEP accelerator with particle momenta up to 2 GeV/c and is used for research of polarization in elastic pion-proton scattering. 1 reference

AbstractAbstract
[en] Preliminary results are presented on the measurement of the asymmetry in dipion production on a polarized proton target in the reaction π-p→π-π+n at 1.78 GeV/c. The data indicate that the dipion production process has an important dependence on the nucleon spin. 4 refs., 7 figs., 1 tab

AbstractAbstract
[en] The authors report results of systematic measurements of the asymmetry of elastic π-p scattering into the backward hemisphere at 1.4-2.1 GeV/c and also of a test of the isospin invariance of the existing set of experimental data on πp scattering in the investigated interval of momenta. At 1.98 and 2.07 GeV/c the isodoublet scattering amplitudes are established. The data obtained, the results of the isospin analysis, and the reconstruction of the amplitudes are compared with the predictions of current phase-shift analyses
