Three of these are mentioned in the title; the fourth is quantification. It is still uncertain whether metabolic parameters can be determined by SPECT using amines. Nach Ansicht des Autors wird sich die kraniale SPECT erst dann durchsetzen, wenn die vier Zielgebiete der PET mit abgedeckt werden: Drei sind aus der Ueberschrift ersichtlich; hinzu kommt die Quantifizierung. AbstractAbstract
[en] Novel Diagnostic Procedures in Nuclear Medicine reflect applied Pathophysiology: Basics and future aspects. In their capacity as 'image - assisted functional diagnostics', methods of nuclear medicine link morphological patterns of radiology with clinical presentation. Based on pathophysiology they supply an insight into both global and regional parameters, present as basal values or as reserves. Both, single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) or highly defined positron ECT (PET), enable computerassisted topographical overlay and thus an exact comparative evaluation of regional function versus morphology. In addition, PET gives accress to a true physiological, absolute quantification employing process specific, carrierfree substrates. (orig./GDG)

Als 'abbildungsunterstuetzte Funktionsdiagnostik' stellen nuklearmedizinische Diagnoseverfahren die Verbindung her zwischen morphologischen Befundmustern und klinischem Erscheinungsbild. Pathophysiologisch orientiert geben sie Einblick in basale und als Reserve vorhandene globale und regionale Durchblutungs- und Stoffwechselparameter. Sowohl mit der Single-Photon-Emissionscomputertomographie (SPECT) als auch insbesondere mit der hochaufloesenden Positronen-ECT (PET) werden rechnergestuetzte topographische Zuordnungen und damit ein exakter Vergleich von oertlichen Funktionen mit der Morphologie moeglich. [en] Left ventricular volumina (end-diastolic, end-systolic volume, stroke volume) and the left ventricular output fraction (%) derived therefrom still are relevant parameters of the left ventricular pumping action. Upon correlation of these volumina with a time standard (e.g. one second), input and output rates can be calculated, which in turn can be classified into mean and maximum rates. Relevant relationships can also be drawn from a correlation between output fraction (%) and end-diastolic ventricular volume (ml), of use for example for assessing the severity of a left ventricular hypertrophy, or of innate or acquired cardiac defects. Linksventrikulaere Volumina (enddiastolisches, endsystolisches Volumen, Schlagvolumen) und die daraus errechnete linksventrikulaere Auswurffraktion (%) verkoerpern nach wie vor relevante Parameter fuer die linsventrikulaere Pumpfunktion. Unter Normierung dieser Volumina auf die Zeit (z.B. Sekunde) errechnen sich Fuellungs- und Auswurfgeschwindigkeiten, die wiederum unterteilt werden koennen in mittlere und maximale Geschwindigkeiten. Relevante Beziehungen ergeben sich auch aus der Korrelation von Auswurffraktion (%) und EDV (ml), z.B. bei Bewertung des Schwergrades einer linksventrikulaeren Hypertrophie und von angeborenen oder erworbenen Herzfehlern.
