AbstractAbstract
[en] Σ-hyperonic X-ray lines have been observed in 8 elements and their intensities as well as those of the accompanying kaonic X-ray lines have been determined. The Σ-atomic cascade has been found to be similar to those of other exotic atoms. The production of Σ- hyperons per stopped K- has been measured by comparing their X-ray intensities. For the first time the intensity attenuation due to the strong absorptive ΣN interaction could be measured in four cases, and simple optical model calculations have been performed in order to reproduce the data. Σ-hyperonische Roentgenlinien wurden in 8 Elementen beobachtet. Ihre Intensitaeten und die der gleichzeitig auftretenden kaomischen Roentgenlinien wurden bestimmt. Die gefundene Σ-atomische Kaskade entsprach den Kaskaden anderer exotischer Atome. Die Bildung von Σ--Hyperonen pro gebremstem K- wurde durch Vergleich ihrer Roentgenintensitaeten gemessen. Die Intensitaetsdaempfung durch die starke absorptive ΣN-Wechselwirkung konnte erstmals in vier Faellen gemessen werden, und einfache Rechnungen nach dem optischen Modell wurden zur Reproduktion der Daten durchgefuehrt. AbstractAbstract
[en] Experimental data are presented on the K0sub(L)p→K0sub(S)p reaction between 4 and 14 GeV/c in the range 0.1 < approximately mod(t) < approximately 2 GeV2. This experiment has been performed at the CERN PS, using spark chambers and a large aperture magnet. The results show a break of slope at t=-0.3 GeV2. The ω trajectory deduced from the data has an intercept α(0)=0.5 and a slope α'=0.88. A comparison with various models shows that the non-flip amplitude is dominant. (Auth.)
