AbstractAbstract
[en] The following units for measuring constant voltages are described: optoleectronic decoupling amplifier, dc amplifiers with modulation and demodulation and voltage-to-frequency converter. The main characteristics and flowsheets of the above units are presented. The optoelectronic decoupling amplifier is intended for the transmission of analog signals from sources being under a high potential with respect to control equipment. The amplifier contains a couple of opto-isolators connected differentially, a comparison circuit, two controlling generators and two thermally stabilized current-voltage converters. The amplifier gain is equal to 1.2, and the gain non-linearity constitutes 0.5%. The input sio.nal amplitude may be changed from 1 to 5 V. The dc amplifier with modulation-demodulation, the temperature drift of which equals 0.3 μV, is used to measure weak direct current signals. The amplifier threshold sensitivity constitutes 1 μV. Its qain is equal to 60 and non-linearity constitutes 0.1%. The voltage-to-frequency converter with an integrating circuit, a preamplifier, a null-detector, a pulse shaper, a metering device and a follower is used for the increase of noise immunity of the analogous signal transmission and the convenience of subsequent processing. The amplifier output frequency changed from 5 kHz up to 15 kHz when changing the input voltage from 0.5 V up to 1.5 V

AbstractAbstract
[en] Hadron calorimeter is one of the main detectors of the L3 installation, which in under construction at CERN for the work with the LEP colliding e+e--beams. The central part of the hadron calorimeter presents a set of 9 rings with 16 modules in each. The module, in its turn, consists of alternating layers of absorber and detector. Depleted uranium 5 mm thick serves as the absorber and proportional chambers are the detectors. Characteristics of the installation for testing of the chambers are given. Using the installation the following characteristics were measured:1. the current of each chamber channel in the absence of ionization sources at the stage of its assembling with the necessary training or replacement of the wire; 2. gas amplification factor (G) of each channel and its homogeneity within each chamber using the natural uranium background; 3. long-time operation of the chambers under conditions close to the real ones; 4. chamber air tightness and high-voltage strength. The installation design basis comprises a micromodule stack with plates of depleted uranium and a system of 3 scintillation counters, as well as 3 couples of coordinate chambers. It also comprises a control (reference-point) chamber, additional proportional counter, a system of pressure and temperature sensors and recording electronics. The installation operates on-line with the SM 1420 minicomputer. The installation has worked for nearly a year without considerable failures. 2200 chambers have been tested in the period

AbstractAbstract
[en] A hadron calorimeter appears to be one of the elements of L3 detector created for experiments in electron-positron LEP collider which is under construction in CERN. The calorimeter is of modular structure. It comprises 8000 proportional chambers interlaid by absorber plates and assembled into 144 modules. Depleted uranium is used as absorber. An on-line setup for wire proportional chamber channel testing is described. Application of ''Elektronika-60M'' computer for control of supply sources, switching units, meters for data acquisition and processing allows one to bring the setup efficiency to 2000 channels per day. The main failure reasons consist in the presence of mechanical defects on the surfaces of signal wires and tubes

AbstractAbstract
[en] The following electronic multi-channel units performed in the CAMAK-VECTOR standard are developed to provide experiments on an accelerator: the pulse distributor, the digital-to-analog converter (DAC), the request search unit and the analog multiplexer. Flowsheets and main characteristics of the above units are presented. The 131.5 pulse distributor is a single-width unit; it is used for commutation of logical signals from one input on 64 outputs. The 1622 digital-to-analog converter unit comprises four 10-bit DAC. Each converter may have two values of output voltage: 0-(+5)V and 0-(-5)V with the accuracy of 0.1%. The conversion time constitutes 5 μs. The request search unit is a specialized program unit intended both for the search of sources of interrupt and transmission of their addresses to a computer according to their priority. The 164.3 analog multiplexer is carried out in a single-width module and is designed for measuring digital and analog signals. The unit has 32 pair channels, which it commutates with two isolated outputs. The 164.3 analog multiplexer is designed for successive and synchronous scanning or arbitrary addressed access of analog sensor signals. The unit has 32 inputs at asymmetrical connection and only 16 inputs at symmetrical one. The switching time is equal to 20 μs

AbstractAbstract
[en] A test system for wire chambers (TSC) of a hadron uranium calorimeter is decribed. The system is a computer complex on the basis of the ''Electronika-60'' microcomputer. The TSC provides data readout, monitoring and initial processing, tape and disc recording, chamber testing control and a number of auxiliary functions. The TSC is operated via the RT-11V5.0 operating system. The computer complex configuration and schematic description of the system are presented. The software structure is considered and the TSC computer codes directly related to data acquisition and processing. The service functions of the system are proposed as user's manual

AbstractAbstract
[en] The parity non-conserving asymmetry of the resonance scattering of circularly polarized γ-rays with an energy of 7.646 MeV from the reaction 56Fe(n vector, γ0)57Fe by 205Tl nuclei was investigated. A value of α=(4.8±1.5)x10-5 was measured, which is an order of magnitude greater than the theoretically expected mean values for both the 205Tl(vector γ, γ') and the 56Fe(n vector, γ0) reactions. No contradiction to theory can be stated since large statistical fluctuations are possible for the effect. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The PCN-Asymmetry of the resonance scattering of circularly polarized neutron capture gamma-rays was investigated for the following nuclei as scatterers: 112Cd, 118Sn, 139La, 141Pr, 142Nd, 205Tl and 208Pb. The experiments were carried out on the polarized neutron beam of the Institut Laue Langevin's High Flux Reactor. For six nuclei-scatterer combinations limits on the value of the PNC-asymmetry of the order 10-4 to 10-3 were obtained. For 205Tl a PNC-asymmetry of a=(+ 4.8 ± 1.5).10-5 was observed
