AbstractAbstract
[en] A user-friendly, interactive software package is described that can be used for fault diagnosis in dynamic systems. The methodology is based on the representation of system evolution in time as probability of transitions between sets of magnitude intervals in the state/parameter space. The software is developed in C++ for Windows NT platform. The display capabilities of the software and its implementation are illustrated using a second order system

AbstractAbstract
[en] The citric acid sol-gel combustion method has been used for the synthesis of nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite (HAP) powder from calcium nitrate, diammonium hydrogen phosphate and citric acid. The phase composition of HAP powder was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction analysis (XRD). The morphology of HAP powder was observed by transmission electron microscope (TEM). The HAP powder has been sintered into microporous ceramic in air at 1200 deg. C with 3 h soaking time. The microstructure and phase composition of the resulting HAP ceramic were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and XRD, respectively. The physical characterization of open porosity and flexural strength have also been carried out

AbstractAbstract
[en] Two kinds of lac insect (Kerria chinensis, K.lacca) were radiated in this radiation experiment. The different stage of lac insect (larva, adult) are radiated by several dosages of Co 60. Tests showed that lac insects in the second stage are all dead after radiation of 500-2 000 rad, female insect of K.chinensis with pregnancy egg time 2-3 stage radiated by 1000 rad can produce new generation. Female insect of K.lacca with pregnancy egg time 5-6 stage radiated by 11 000 rad occasionally produce new generation. The egg amount and amount of secreting lac are similar to those of the normal, effective production and sex ratio are higher than those of the normal, group density on branch is lower than the normal in the generation of K.lacca after radiation. The sex ratio of the female, group density on branch are higher than those of the normal, egg amount and amount of secreting lac are normal in the generation of K.chinensis arter radiation. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Two two-dimensional inorganic-organic hybrid materials formulated as [{Cu(phen)}2(VVO2)2VIVO2(H2O)(PO4)2] 1 and [V4O7(2,2'-bpy)2(HPO4)2] 2 have been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Both crystallize in the triclinic space group P1-bar (no. 2), with cell parameters a=8.118(3), b=9.272(3), c=10.348(5) A, α=96.71(1), β=100.97(1), γ=104.66(1) deg. , V=728.5(5) A3, Z=1 for 1 and a=8.402(4), b=9.270(5), c=9.676(7) A, α=97.10(1), β=110.29(1), γ=98.92(1) deg. , V=685.4(7) A3, Z=1 for 2. The structure of 1 is analogous to that of [{Cu(phen)}2(VVO2)3(OH)(PO4)2] (1') and consists of [{Cu(phen)}2VIVO6(H2O)]∞ chains that are bridged by {(VO2)(PO4)}2 4-membered rings via oxygen atoms into a two-dimensional network. Compounds 1 and 1' are isostructural but the oxidization states of vanadium atoms in them are not fully same. Thus, 1 and 1' are relatively rare examples of all V(V) and V(V)/V(IV) mixed valence analogues in the solid state. Compound 2 is also relatively uncommon and features 2,2'-bipy ligands directly coordinated to vanadium atoms. The structure of 2 is constructed by 4-, 6- and 8-membered rings and is topologically relevant to [V3O7(phen)]. The temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility of 1 shows alternating ferro- and antiferromagnetic interactions

AbstractAbstract
[en] Uterine artery embolization (UAE) is a safe and effective method for uterine leiomyomas but its long and middle term effects are definite. Furthermore it bears some exquisite comparison with the conventional therapy but not as a radical one, with a tendency. However, to develop new leiomyomas and recurrence after UAE, there for all patients should be monitored with clinical and imaging examinations for more than 2 years after the procedure. At present, a few literatures involving the factors that could influence the effects of UAE have been issued. It is necessary to carry on large-scale clinical research of the related factors influencing the results of UAE in order to guide clinical practice correctly and swiftly. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A nuclear power plant (NPP) is a complex system but requires high reliability. The human-machine interface (HMI) design plays very important role in reactor safety. This paper describes an assessment on HMI design of a Chinese NPP, using a software system named Dynamic Interaction Analysis Support (DIAS). DIAS can give not only quantitative indices for dynamically assessing the HMI design, but also allow modify the values of these indices by taking into account human error probability during specified emergent operation procedures. The operation procedures dealing with postulated accidents and transients recorded from a full-scale plant simulator in the training center of a Chinese NPP were selected as references. According to the results of simulation and analysis, the potential problems in the HMI design and the operation procedures were detected. Suggestions to improve the HMI design and the operation procedures were addressed

AbstractAbstract
[en] Objective: To study the prognostic value of gated 201Tl myocardial perfusion SPECT imaging in patients with coronary artery disease and assessment of therapy strategy for the individual patient. Methods: Eighty-four patients underwent rest and exercise stress 201Tl gated myocardial perfusion SPECT imaging and were followed up for (32.92 ± 16.77) months. Images were studied using 17 segments and 1 to 4 scoring. Global summed stress score (SSS), summed rest score (SRS) and summed difference score (SDS=SSS-SRS) were also calculated. Post-stress and rest ejection fraction (EF) were automatically measured. Results: Nine cardiac events occurred (3.90% per year). SSS, SDS, SRS and EF were the independent predictors of cardiac events (P<0.005 ). Cox regression analysis showed that SSS was the best predictor of cardiac events. Integration of the post-stress EF and SDS yielded effective stratification of patients: low-, intermediate-, and high-risk subgroups. Conclusions: Gated 201Tl myocardial perfusion SPECT imaging can provide prognostic assessment for the patients with coronary artery disease and guide in selection of therapeutic strategy. Among all of the indices SSS is the best predictors of cardiac events. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In order to determine the safety of the 200 MW Nuclear Heating Reactor design and lay a foundation for the future development of the reactor, the hydrodynamic stability experiment has been completed by means of the Russian KC test loop. Numerical simulating analysis of the main experiment results has been accomplished by use of RETRAN-02 code. Comparison analysis shows that there is good coincidence degree between the results of the experimental measurement and the numerical analysis, and some conclusions, which are helpful to the design of NHR-200, are also given

AbstractAbstract
[en] Two dimeric lanthanoid(III) complexes, [Ln2 (bpy)2 (pybet)4(H2O)4] (bpy)3 (ClO4)6.H2O (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine, pybet = pyridinioacetate, and Ln = Eu and Tb), have been prepared and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The complexes are isostructural, each comprising a quadruply carboxylato-bridged, centrosymmetrical dimeric cation, six perchlorate anions, three uncoordinated bpy molecules and a lattice water molecule. Each Ln ion is surrounded in a distorted square-antiprismatic environment by four carboxylato oxygen atoms, two nitrogen atoms of the bidentate bpy ligand and two aqua ligands. The Ln-O bond lengths range from 2.33 to 2.44 Angstroms, and Ln-N bond lengths from 2.55 to 2.64 Angstroms. The uncoordinated bpy molecules are linked to the aqua ligands by hydrogen bonds. 17 refs., 2 tabs.,2 figs

AbstractAbstract
[en] Pathological changes of uterine fibroid after transcatheter uterine artery embolization (TUAE) has been proven with regular pathological change during the elapse time after TUAE resulting in fibrotic proliferation. Inflammation took place first, followed by coagulation necrosis and hyaline degeneration but incomplete in most cases and finally with proliferative fibrous tissue formation. These dynamic changes of pathology are basis for fibroid volume reduction and recurrences. The factors affecting the extent of fibroid necrosis included tumor size, position and elapse of duration after TUAE. Inflammation was found in normal uterine tissue after TUAE but no necrosis occurred. The finding of embolization agent in peripheral vessels of adnexa may suggest future possible damage of function in ovary and fallopian tube. (authors)
