AbstractAbstract
[en] The effect of additional cooling and heating of electrons on expansion of collisionless plasma plasmoids of different geometry and dimensions is numerically investigated. It is shown that parameters of expanding plasmoids following additional cooling or heating, to rather a high degree of accUracy, are described by the effective time tau* which is determined by the ratio 1/tau*=1/tau sub(0)+1/tau (where tau0=characteristic time of electron cooling without additional cooling and heating, tau=characteristic time of additional heating and cooling)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Self-consistent dusty sheaths are investigated by using the kinetic PIC/MCC simulation of a temporal evolution of both dusty plasmas consisting of immersed electrodes (walls) and developing dusty discharges without special boundary conditions for the sheaths. Obtained results show an essential influence of dust particles on sheath parameters. Spatial distributions of a dust particle charge are not trivial due to a self-consistent evolution of electron and ion energy distribution functions

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this work it was investigated numerically the expansion of the cylindrical collisionless plasma clouds into a vacuum in framework of both the finite differences of hydrodynamic equations and the CI C - method. It was supposed that the plasma consists of cold ions (Ti≅ 0) and two groups of electrons with Tc (cold electrons) and Th (hot electrons) temperatures. Initially the electron velocity distribution functions for each group were Maxwellian

AbstractAbstract
[en] The paper deals with numerical calculations of parameters of a supersonic quasi-neutral argon plasma jet expanding into a cylindrical vacuum vessel and interacting with its inner surface. A modified method of large particles was used, the complex set of hydrodynamic equations being broken into simpler components, each of which describes a separate physical process. Spatial distributions of the main parameters of the argon plasma jet were simulated at various times after the jet entering the vacuum vessel, the parameters being the jet velocity field, the full plasma pressure, the electron temperature, the temperature of heavy particles, and the degree of ionization. The results show a significant effect of plasma jet interaction on the plasma parameters. The jet interaction with the vessel walls may result e.g. in excitation of shock waves and rotational plasma motions. (J.U.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The MX-7301 modified monopole 1 μs resolution mass-spectrometer applicable for measuring ion currents in the presence of fluxes of neutral particles or photons during investigation of non-stationary plasma is described. An electrostatic capacitor for ion beam deflection after beam lead out from the analyzing system is used; the SEM-4 secondary electron multiplier is used as a detector. The deflection capacitor is formed of two stainless steel plates of 10x20 mm size and 0.5 mm thickness placed parallelly to each other with 8 mm gap between them. The plates are located in such a way that the ion beam from the analyzing system passes in the middle of the capacitor. The condition of absence of ion discrimination due to distribution of their energies is considered

AbstractAbstract
[en] The ionization waves were studied by numerical solution in a plane glass cell filled with neon. The ionization wave forms the plasma near the dielectric wall of cell, and the dielectric properties of the wall have an important effect on the breakdown dynamics both in the cases of breakdowns evolving parallel or perpendicular to the wall. The velocity at the ionization wave was related to the current density of the external circuit. Numerical simulation agrees with experiments. (D.Gy.)
