AbstractAbstract
[en] Fifteen pulmonary thromboemboli and five external jugular venous thrombi were created in five laboratory dogs and evaluated with a dual-isotope subtraction technique that utilizes In-111-labeled platelets and Tc-99m-labeled red blood cells (RBCs). Venous thrombi of 800 mg and 6.9 target to background ratio (TBR) were resolved without the subtraction imaging technique. Pulmonary emboli of similar TBR and weight were not visualized with either In-111-labeled platelet imaging alone or the dual-isotope technique. This probably reflects the additional difficulty of distinguishing pulmonary thromboemboli from the surrounding cardiopulmonary blood pool. Emboli with an average TBR of 53.4 were easily visualized with In-111-labeled platelet imaging alone. The dual-isotope subtraction technique allowed visualization of four additional emboli with significantly lower average TBR (16.5) and thus has the potential to be a more sensitive technique than In-111 labeled platelet imaging alone

AbstractAbstract
[en] A simple dynamical model is used to analyse deep inelastic interactions implying three collective variables. The calculated dynamical descriptions of the deep inelastic regions in the 40Ar (300 MeV) + 197Au and in the 19F (72 MeV) + 24Mg systems indicate longer interaction times for deep inelastic interactions in the light composite system, meaning stronger friction forces. AbstractAbstract
[en] The pre-emission of neutrons from 11Li halo nuclei is considered. The problems of investigation of 11Li halo nucleus structure by means of the correlation function are presented. The influence of the target screening on the halo neutron pre-emission is described. It is shown that due to the diminishing of the screening effect the yield of pre-emission neutron pairs is expected to be much larger in the case of 12C than in the case of Si target

Primary Subject

AbstractAbstract
[en] Tc-99m monocationic mixed ligand complexes of phenyl substituted/condensed Schiff's bases, N,N'-ethylene-bis-(benzoylacetone imine) (Lb) or N,N'-ethylene-bis-(salicyladehyde imine) (Lc) or N,N'-ethylene-bis-(2-hydroxyacetophenone imine) (Ld) and trimethylphosphine were synthesized to determine the influence of the presence of a phenyl group in these tracers on their heart uptake in rats. A new formulation procedure using aq. β-hydroxypropylcyclodextrin (HPB) solution was developed for intravenous administration of nonpolar 99mTc complexes. Comparison of biodistribution data for the reference 99mTc complex from N,N'-ethylene-bis-(acetylacetone imine) and trimethylphosphine using HPB formulation and alternate formulation (0.9% saline) showed the same results. Biodistribution of the title 99mTc complexes, [99mTc Lb (PMe3)2]+, [99mTc Lc (PME3)2]+ and [99mTc Ld (PME3)2+ showed heart-to-blood activity ratios of 1.7, 2.1 and 1.7, respectively, at 15 min post-injection in rats.
