AbstractAbstract
[en] The results in this thesis are organised in four chapters. Chapter 1 is preliminary. We state the necessary definitions and results in w- complexes, atomic complexes and products of w-complexes. Some definitions are restated to meet the requirement for the following chapters. There is a new proof for the existence of 'natural homomorphism' (Theorem 1.3.6) and a new result for the decomposition of molecules in loop-free w-complexes (Theorem 1.4.13). In Chapter 2, we study the product of three infinite dimensional globes. The main result in this chapter is that a subcomplex in the product of three infinite dimensional globes is a molecule if and only if it is pairwise molecular (Theorem 2.1.6). The definition for pairwise molecular subcomplexes is given in section 1. One direction of the main theorem, molecules are necessarily pairwise molecular, is proved in section 2. Some properties of pairwise molecular subcomplexes are studied in section 3. These properties are the preparation for a more explicit description of pairwise molecular subcomplexes, which is given in section 4. The properties for the sources and targets of pairwise molecular subcomplexes are studied in section 5, where we prove that the class of pairwise molecular subcomplexes is closed under source and target operation; there are also algorithms to calculate the sources and targets of a pairwise molecular subcomplex. Section 6 deals with the composition of pairwise molecular subcomplexes. The proof of the main theorem is completed in section 7, where an algorithm for decomposing molecules into atoms is implied in the proof. The construction of molecules in the product of three infinite dimensional globes is studied in Chapter 3. The main result is that any molecule can be constructed inductively by a systematic approach. Section 1 gives another description for molecules in the product of three infinite dimensional globes which is the theoretical basis for the construction. Section 2 states the inductive process of constructing molecules. The justification for the construction is given in section 3. The main result in Chapter 4 is that a subcomplex in the product of four infinite dimensional globes is a molecule if and only if it is pairwise molecular (Theorem 4.1.4). In the first four sections, some basic concepts and properties have to be reestablished to suit more general case. The organisation for the last three sections is parallel to that in Chapter 2. The corresponding results for sources, targets, composition and decomposition of pairwise molecular subcomplexes are also achieved. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] As a typical drought-prone region, the Yellow River basin (YRB) has long been over exploited with highly concentrated population and farmland, but with very limited resources. The water resources is one of the key constraints of the sustainable development of this region. However, unfortunately, due to both human activities and climate change, the precipitation of this basin has been found continuously decreased during last several decades, while the streamflow showed a significant decreasing trend as well. As a result, the lack of the availability of the water resources in the YRB is increasingly severe. It is of importance to predict the future water resources sustainability under climate change. According to the US EPA (2007) classification, the flow condition can be categorized using the flow duration curve, which is plotted a gauging station representing streamflow values from high to low against the percentage of time these values are either equalled or exceeded, where 60% to 90% means dry conditions, and 90% to 100% for low flows. The flow duration curve (FDC) is always computed empirically, and Singh et al. (2014a, b) first introduced the entropy theory to estimate the FDC, where they defined the entropy parameter for each station, so that the FDC for different recurrence intervals can be easily predicted. The main advantages of the use of the entropy theory for computing the FDC are: (1) the parameters are based on observations and no fitting is needed; (2) the theory permits a probabilistic characterization of the flow duration curve. To that end, the entropy-based FDC curve will be applied to estimate the flow condition of the Yellow River basin and to predict the future condition based on the entropy parameter under climate change scenarios.

AbstractAbstract
[en] A bilayer CdS/ITO film was obtained. The dipped CdS was grown by an ultrasonic colloid deposition (USCD) method. Microstructure of the CdS film made by USCD has a wider transmission range and a higher transmittance. Amorphous indium-tin-oxide (ITO) thin film was deposited using d.c. magnetron-sputtering at room temperature. The ITO films exhibited good conductivity and maximum transmittance of 94%. The CdS/ITO bilayer was investigated by means of GIXD (grazing incidence X-ray diffraction) at different incidence angles (α=0.20-5.00 deg.) and XRD. We discuss a model for the thin bilayer film. SEM and AFM show that homogeneous CdS films with a bar-shaped ultrafine particles and ITO film with nanometer structure. The mechanism of the bilayer CdS/ITO film is discussed

AbstractAbstract
[en] Afatoxin B1 (AFB1) is the most toxic form among the mycotoxins. Cytokines are important mediators of the immune system. T-cell subsets play a crucial role in cell-mediated immunity. The aim of present study was to evaluate the effects of dietary AFB1 on the cytokines expression and T-cell subsets in the cecal tonsil of broiler chickens throughout a 21-day experimental period. One hundred and fifty six one-day-old broiler chickens were randomly divided into control group (0 mg AFB1/kg feed) and AFB1 group (0.6 mg pure AFB1/kg feed). At 7, 14 and 21 days of age, the levels of seven cytokines (IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-17, IFN-γ and TNF-α) mRNA expression as well as the proportions of T-cell subsets (CD3+, CD3+CD4+, CD3+CD8+) by qRT-PCR and flow cytometry methods were assessed in the cecal tonsils. The levels of the seven cytokines mRNA expression and the percentages of T-cell subsets significantly decreased at 14 and 21 days of age in the AFB1 group compared with the control group. However, the CD4+/CD8+ ratio was not significantly changed. These results demonstrate that 0.6 mg/kg AFB1 dietary exposure reduced the levels of cytokines mRNA expression and the percentages of T-cell subsets in the cecal tonsils of broiler chickens, suggesting that the cell-mediated immunity of cecal tonsils might be impaired in broilers. AbstractAbstract
[en] Overlap with the separable state is introduced in this article for the purpose of characterizing the overall correlation in many-body systems. This definition has clear geometric and physical meaning and moreover can be considered as the generalization of the concept of the Anderson orthogonality catastrophe. As an exemplification, it is used to mark the phase transition in the Dicke model for zero and finite temperatures, and the discussion shows that it can faithfully reflect the phase transition properties of this model whether for zero or finite temperature. Furthermore, the overlap for the ground state also indicates the appearance of multipartite entanglement in the Dicke model.

AbstractAbstract
[en] A relation between entanglement and criticality of spin chains is established. The entanglement we exploit is shared between auxiliary particles, which are isolated from each other, but are coupled to the same critical spin-1/2 chain. We analytically evaluate the reduced density matrix, and numerically show the entanglement of the auxiliary particles in the proximity of the critical points of the spin chain. We find that the entanglement induced by the spin chain may reach 1, and it can signal very well the critical points of the chain. A physical understanding and experimental realization with trapped ions are presented

AbstractAbstract
[en] The maximal overlap with the fully separable state for the multipartite entangled pure state with translational invariance is studied explicitly by some exact and numerical evaluations, focusing on the one-dimensional qubit system and some representative types of translational invariance. The results show that the translational invariance of the multipartite state could have an intrinsic effect on the determination of the maximal overlap and the nearest fully separable state for multipartite entangled states. Furthermore, a hierarchy of the basic entangled states with translational invariance is found, from which one could readily find the maximal overlap and a related fully separable state for the multipartite state composed of different translational invariance structures.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Lymphocytes from regional lymph nodes of patients with ovarian carcinoma were immortalized by fusing them with a nonsecreting cell line of murine myeloma (Sp2/0-Ag14). By early cloning and recloning a hybrid cell line, named HMD4, was established. It has secreted human IgG for more than 15 months stably. Chromosome analysis corresponded with the characterization of human-mouse hybridoma. Large quantities of ascites were obtained after hybrid cells injection into the primed nude mice. Human IgG of light chain was detected and purified from the ascites. Twenty-six of 43 (60.5%) epithelial ovarian cancers were positively stained with HMD4 by ABC immunoperoxidase methods while nonepithelial ovarian cancers and almost all benign tumors and normal tissues were negative. The molecular weight of the antigen recognized by HMD4 was 55KDa determined by Western blotting. 131I labeled HMD4 was administered intraperitoneally to nude mice bearing human ovarian epithelial adenocarcinoma; 131I labeled normal human IgG and normal murine IgG were used as controls. Measurements of T/NT and T/B ratios of 131I-HMD4 were done. Radioimaging showed HMD4 clearly localized on tumor regions at 48 and 72 hours and the biodistribution and metabolism of the labeled HMD4 corresponded with the images. The above results indicate that HMD4 was specific to ovarian carcinoma, a hopeful clue for clinical applications

AbstractAbstract
[en] We consider two two-level atoms, which are located in two independent dissipative cavities. The two atoms are initially prepared in the singlet state vertical barΨ-> - 1/√2 (vertical bar eg> - vertical bar ge>). We investigate the influence of dissipation on the entanglement between the two atoms. In the case of resonance the degree of the entanglement can fall abruptly to zero, which is the so-called sudden death of entanglement. It is noted that when two atoms are in a common environment, the singlet state is a decoherence-free state. When the dispersive limit is fulfilled, the degree of entanglement between the two atoms is oscillating at first, then it arrives at a steady value, which increases with the increase of the damping constant κ; when both fields are initially in the vacuum state, the entanglement between the two atoms will not decay
