AbstractAbstract
[en] The effect of the shock waves on the phase composition of the Ti-Nb alloys has been studied. The original samples of the Ti-10 at.%Nb and Ti-20 at%Nb alloys have been annealed in the approximately 5x10-5 mm of mercury column vacuum at 500 deg C. Following this, they have been subjected to 320-kbar shock waves at -196, -80 and 20 deg C. Given are the results of the X-ray analysis of the alloy phase composition in the original state and following the shockwave compression. The results of the research have indicated that when the temperature increases, the formation of the ω-phase beyond the shock wave front is hampered. The ω-phase content in Ti-Nb alloys, following the shock loading, is much less, than after static compression
