AbstractAbstract
[en] Anomalous electron scattering near structure phase transition in PbTesub(1-x)Ssub(x) is investigated. In samples with x=0.05 when electron concentration changing by two orders Tsub(c) remains unchangeable, and the value of anomaly in scattering (Δ rho) changes regularly with electron density. Appearance of anomalous scattering near Tsub(c) is related to scattering on preordering clusters. Change in Δ rho(T) curve form observed in x approximately equal to 0.2 region is explained by appearance of an infinite cluster. Hardening phenomena detected when fast sample cooling can be caused by freezing nonequilibrium cluster configurations. Donor (In, Cd, Cu, Sb) and isovalent (Sn, Ge) impurity effect on phase transition into PbTesub(1-x)Ssub(x) is considered

[en] Possibility of determination of steel physical yield strength (carbon, chromium, and chromium-nickel steels) has been studied at high temperatures on the basis of utilization of the regularity of stability of relative strengthening of hot-deformed austenite, established previously. On the basis of strengthening curves obtained for the temperature range of forging and hot rolling and free of yield plateaus, it is possible to define numerical values of physical yield strength with the use of the above regularity of stability of relative strengthening of hot-deformed austenite. Physical yield strengths, thus found, are governed by the N.S. Kurnakov law

AbstractAbstract
[en] Investigation of local surrounding of lead and selenium atoms in the PbTe1-xSex solid solution is carried out through the EXAFS-spectroscopy method. High values of the Debye-Waller factors for the Pb-Pb interatomic distances (the second coordination sphere) and their noticeable deviation from the Vegard law were unexpectedly determined. The calculations, conducted through the Monte Carlo method, show, that the peculiarities observed are connected with the complex structure of the Pb-Pb distance distribution function. It is established, that the Se-Se pair number in the second coordination sphere exceeds the static value, which indicates the substantial role of chemical factors by forming the solid solution structure. The contribution of chemical factors to the enthalpy of solid solution mixing (≅ 0.5 kcal/mol)

Методом EXAFS-спектроскопии исследовано локальное окружение атомов свинца и селена в твердом растворе PbTe1-xSex. Наряду с двухмодовым распределением длин связей в первой координационной сфере обнаружены неожиданно большие значения факторов Дебая-Уоллера для межатомных расстояний Pb-Pb (вторая координационная сфера) и их заметное отклонение от закона Вегарда. Расчеты, проведенные методом Монте-Карло, показывают, что наблюдаемые особенности связаны со сложной структурой функции распределения расстояний Pb-Pb. Обнаружено, что число Se-Se во второй координационной сфере превышает статистическое значение, что указывает на заметную роль химических факторов при формировании структуры твердого раствора.
