[en] The probability of a flipping of the neutron spin in passing through external magnetic field and its short calculation were reviewed. It is known that neutrons with spins parallel to the field will always be repelled from regions of strong field. With a suitable magnetic field configuration it is possible to construct magnetic mirrors and guide tubes which produced polarized neutrons. (author)

[en] Filter detector spectrometer can be modified as diffractometer. Angular divergences of the inpile collimator and the soller collimator between crystal monochromator and sample and between sample and BF3 detector are respectively 1 deg 30 minutes, 40 minutes, and 38 minutes; whereas the mosaic spread of the crystal monochromator is 12 minutes. The full-width at half-maximum vs. dispersions parameter curve, together with experimental results are presented and their relations are discussed. (author)

[en] Neutron diffraction experiment on KCoF3 was performed at room and liquid nitrogen temperatures with thermal neutron wavelength 1.07 A. The peaks of magnetic superlattice at low temperature diffraction pattern were indexed on a cubic magnetic unit cell with twice the edge on the corresponding perovskite unit cell, and the magnetic structure seems to be in the G-type structure. By tilting the monochromator, measuring the intensity of neutron beam from soller collimator and looking for the beam profile, it is shown that the accuracy of the neutron wavelength depend on the accuracy of the Bragg angle measurements. [en] The measurements of lattice parameter of antiferromagnetic substance Cr2O3 with neutron diffraction method were done at room temperature and using thermal neutron wavelength 1.25 A. By measuring the positions of the Bragg peaks from neutron diffraction pattern, they have been estimated that a=5.537 A and α=55 deg 6 minutes. (author)

[en] The neutron flux density of low voltage of 150 kV Tunzini Sames Neutron Generator was measured on the axis of deuteron beams. The radiation level caused by fast neutron with and without paraffin shielding was discussed. Optimum fast neutron flux density was obtained with ion current of 800 μA and voltage of 140 kV. (author)
